Staybridge Suites Chesapeake - Virginia Beach, an IHG Hotel

"Love the room, the complimentary FULL breakfast, and the location! I loved the layout of the room and appreciated the full kitchen with plates and utensils. Unfortunately, I missed the cocktail hours and the pool/hot tub was closed due to repairs...but I will definitely stay here again!"

"The hotel was great! Staff was super helpful and kind. Food was okay, and was a breakfast buffet not continental. My only issue is the ventilation system. The A/c had a ton of dust in the room and even the pool area. I sneezed the entire time I was there."

"Spent a week at Staybridge Suites Chesapeake with my daughter, her husband and their four children. We had two suites. The suites were comfortable and clean when we arrived. The location was perfect near everything and very assessable. The pool and hot tub clean and stocked with towels. The morning breakfast was good and a treat when you have four young children. Unfortunately, here is where my review becomes negative. My daughter's room had an air conditioner unit that leaked for 4 days. It was never repaired and continued to flood the room. She was eventually moved to another room. The flood was inconvenient for several reason including requiring her to wash clean clothes. Thankfully, the hotel had a washers and dryers although many of them were out of service. As we checked out she spoke to the manager about receiving a reasonable discount for the inconvenience. She was told their was nothing they could do because she booked through Expedia and she would have to call them. We left and my daughter called Expedia who told her that was incorrect. She would have to call the Staybridge. Of course, that is what my daughter did and she was put on hold for 20 minutes. She was only able to get through to the front desk because I gave her my phone and then the front desk answered. They responded that they would only give her a $38.00 discount. They were not apologetic or accommodating in anyway. In fact they were downright rude. I will not say all the staff rude but the morning servers were generally unpleasant and angry if you came to breakfast with 30 minutes left to serve. Often there were no plates, forks or spoons and we were left to using cups to serve ourselves because they were so nasty. Our suites were rarely cleaned or stocked. We had to repeatedly ask for toilet paper. We put out own trash out and generally it would be picked up in a day or two. As I said if you want a nice place to stay the Staybridge Suites is acceptable. If you are looking for staff to make your stay a pleasant experience go elsewhere."

"Really enjoyed staying here. Loved how there was plenty of room and that there were things (dishes, cutlery, etc.) In the room to use. The only issue we had was with the laundry room. While I was there only 1 washer was working. Otherwise, I will definitely recommend this hotel to people and plan on staying here again when I visit home."

"You need good luck to stay here. 1. When there’s a loud party going on from 11:00p.m. to 2:30a.m., the management didn’t do anything. When you called the front desk, he pretended that he could not hear you and hung you up. This behavior made me wonder if he knows the situation and just ignored. If you can fall asleep with this level of noise and strong alcohol smell coming through gaps of your door, you can book this hotel. 2. Glass pieces were in the same spot on the hallway from morning to evening. The sheet has obvious stains on the day we checked in. You asked for firm pillow and got soft ones. Breakfast team does a good job. Coffee is good. There are varieties on different days. Staffs check frequently and make sure food supply is sufficient. Well, there are good reviews here. Maybe it’s just not our lucky day to have noisy party people staying close and coincidentally an irresponsible front desk representative on duty?"
