"My dog goes to Dr. Davis. He absolutely loves her. I don’t exist when she walks in. She has taken such great care of him and I wouldn’t take him anywhere else. The staff knows my puppy and spoils him with so much love. Some dogs have bad experiences at the Vet office and you can tell by how they don’t want to go in but my dog runs inside just so he can see everyone. Worth the 40 min drive because I know Dr.Davis will always do what’s best for him."

"Seems like a very expensive place. I’ve compared notes w/ lots of friends this week and dog teeth cleaning w/ perhaps a few extractions should not cost $2000. Like Powhatan Animal Hospital used to be affordable -not now! Compare costs w/ other vets and the rural Powhatan hospital rivals high-dollar urban animal hospitals."

"The staff in the back were wonderful! The ladies in the front was not as polite, they were polite to CERTAIN QUEST but not to ALL specifically my daughter and I. It’s completely unprofessional to roll your eyes and make snark comments because the vet clinic for my dogs records didn’t answer (Susan M. Markel Vet Hospital. Not just a hospital a whole clinic through the ASPCA, but she acted as if I was lying)! My daughter in the lobby heard your comments and I will never come into that establishment again! It’s sad to pick and chose which paying customer you will give your respect to!! Grateful for other clinics in the area. We are all paying customers we should all be treated the same. You would think they waited till you were either gone or not in the lobby, but no they make it a point to be loud enough to be heard! SHAME ON YOU, people come there to get help for the pets. Will be going to River run for now on!"

"I came in for a nail trim only appointment but my dog was sick and they found somewhere to squeeze him in. It was taking awhile for the blood work but they kept me updated the entire time of the delays. This is important to me as it lets me know I wasn’t forgotten when you wait for a long time. The staff is so nice and helpful and everyone is knowledgeable. I highly recommend Powhatan animal hospital."
