"This park is gorgeous and I went during the winter! There’s a playground, kayak launch, and plenty of little trails and gardens around the creek. It's very beginner friendly but it's large enough to really take some time to explore and take nature pictures. I highly recommend visiting this park at least once if you live in Hampton Roads and ESPECIALLY if you live in Portsmouth."

"A wonderful place for a day hike with friends, or the dog. Great trails with plenty of shade and passing room, for the runners. Surprisingly quiet, especially compared to where it's located. Well worth the visit."

"Very quiet well maintained nature trails and kayak launch. Adore this little park. Has a playground for children. Dogs must be on a leash. Has signs along the trails and one spot has a QR code to scan and you can learn about the foliage. There a 120 year old elm tree. Absolutely magnificent."

"This place is sacred. Very smelly. You can see the Jordan bridge and the glorious trash burning facility from half the park. It feels like a small Victory in the fight against turning Portsmouth into a hellscape. There's so much wrong with this city, and this tiny little parking lot sized nature park is one of the best things this city has to offer. The fact that it's close to a skate park is pretty cool too and it's near one of the best seafood restaurants in VA (Darla's on US17) is what brings it to a ⭐⭐. I love this ambitious little project. I just hope one day it can buy the land the trash plant owns and dismantle and revitalize that part of the bay too. The kids playground looks dope, I'm too old for it but if I were a kid this woulda been the second or third litest playground I played at in Hampton Roads. The place could use more trash cans and some of the art is cool."

"What a great park! The walking trails in this park are well maintained and it's a beautiful walk through the nature. Different bird calls are often heard walking along these trails. We've also spotted several different varieties of butterflies! The playground is lots of fun for children. No swings but lots of climbing structures (at a safe height) that the kids thoroughly enjoy. The wooden structure/hut is an active art installation that allows kids/adults to take part by adding/subtracting various twigs and sticks to the structure! Beautifully painted signs of butterflies (pictured), bats and more area wildlife are found along the trails, adding even more color and beauty to the already scenic views. Plenty of benches along the trail allow one to rest easily and plenty of trails are covered, staying nice and shaded in the hot sun. There are a good bit of mosquitoes which is about the only downside but if you're like me, bathing in bug spray takes care of that and allows for the perfect experience!"
