"Walked 2.5 miles out, then back on a nicely paved path along the pristine Roanoke River. On the way 3 playgrounds, eatery, pavilions, outdoor sculpture. bathrooms(heated!!!), huge skate park, pars course, soccer and baseball fields, and a flat flood plain that would be perfect for cross country sking. I actually journeyed through a couple connected parks on the greenway. Lots of dogs, bike riders, and runners even on a weekday in December. Everyone was friendly and courteous."
"Great place to walk, beautiful paved walkways. The people riding bikes need to be A LOT more considerate of others that are on foot & or with their dogs. The “walkers” almost get knocked over daily by the “bikers”."
"Great little park. Just needs a few picnic tables. We’re traveling with a dog and shopped for our lunch at the local Roanoke food co-op. We headed to the park to eat. The bench worked, but a table would have been even better. Nice and clean and quiet!"
