When my water broke she was available all that day via call and text and helped talk me through my different options and was incredibly supportive of our decisions even though our birth story went a little different than planned. "Susie was a blessing to myself and my wife during the birth of our daughter. She helped prepare us for the arrival of our first child through birthing classes, providing us a wealth of knowledge that our OB didn't bring up to us. She helped me feel confident in knowing the possible scenarios and terminology I would be hearing whenever I took my wife to the hospital. She helped us work through a birth plan and did her absolute best to advocate for us. Susie was readily available to answer any questions we had along the way, and she was prompt and made her way to the hospital when my wife reached the stage of progression we had agreed on. Though my wife's delivery was complicated, Susie was present and helped us work through all the ambiguity and stress we were under. She helped me stay focused and calm, and also helped me interface with the hospital staff (many of whom she already had good prior relationships with). When changes in our plan inevitably had to happen, she was ready to adapt, explaining our options to us in more detail and helping us adapt to that unexpected change. She had my wife's best interest in heart and provided her with support through the whole laboring process. After the delivery she stayed in contact and continued to check in on us from time to time. I could tell she truly cared about the health of my wife and daughter, even weeks after her job was done. She was an absolute joy to work with, and I am not sure how I would have gotten through those stressful couple days without her support. I 100% recommend hiring Susie to be your doula, you will not regret it at all, and it will only make your birth experience better. In the future when we have our next child, I will be calling Susie early on to ensure that we can book her again!"

"Susie was absolutely the best thing about my birth experience. She was so attentive and helpful throughout the entire process. She helped me through every contraction I had and walked us both through the medical intervention options as they became relevant. She had a great reputation with all the nurses and midwives on my care team. The advocacy and support she provided my husband throughout the process was also so incredible. I recommend to all of my friends having babies to get a doula as soon as possible, and if you want Susie you need to reserve her ASAP because she's too good to miss out on! "After an exhaustive search for a doula, my husband and I ended up deciding to work with Susie and we are so happy that we did! Almost as soon as we finished speaking to Susie on the phone, we knew we had found the right person. Susie is a wealth of knowledge and was super supportive for both myself and my husband throughout my labor. She was very responsive by phone and provided guidance while I labored at home. As soon as Susie arrived at the birth center, I immediately felt comforted by her presence. She was so calming throughout and provided much needed words of encouragement. Although most of our birthing team was in and out of the room during my labor, Susie never left my side. She was also really helpful after the birth by providing assistance and advice for breastfeeding.
