"My girlfriend came to get her hair done but it seems she went to get ripped off instead 95 dollars? for what? She got a simple cut. and she wanted her hair curled and according to the lady she had to dry it first so okay? right? wrong. she charged her 70 dollars to pull her scalp like she hated her. my girlfriend is the nicest person she works in customer service and would never be rude or complain but is ridiculous how she was never told it would go from 35 for a cut to 95 for a simply blow that she didn’t even ask for and it was for nothing either way since the lady didn’t even curl it in the end. it was pin straight she just had to suffer through that awful blowout that irritated her scalp for a long time. I think evelyn es una señora ridicula. can’t you see you can’t even cut hair? maybe retire old lady. is about time. estás expirada. i would really recommend anywhere else."

"Evelyn’s Hair Salon is the worst salon I went to ever!! Worst experience of my life. I paid $95 for a service that was not even worth $30. It is absolutely ridiculous. The lady who cut my hair was tugging on my scalp like she wanted to rip it off. After she finished cutting and dried it. She proceeded to style my hair in a way I didn’t even want. I would not recommend this salon to anybody else."

"Love love love the hospitality, the way my hair feels, pricing not too bad, and she is consistent for sure. The staff was great as well. Alot of teamwork to ensure the customers are being serviced quickly. Oh and the musc is a vibe for sure!!!"

"I would give this place no stars if I could! First let me say this, I have not gone to this salon in three years because of how I felt during and after the service. First the wait time was long (understandable being as though I did not have an appointment). Once I was about to leave someone decided to take me. The lady that took me was so busy speaking to her friend that she was literally digging her nails in my scalp. Not paying attention to my hair texture and me the paying customer because she was so busy talking to her friend. I told her and she kept doing it. I let it slide. Then she decided to ask what i was getting which was dye (brown) and a blowout. Once she finished, she went to the back and put something in the shampoo/conditioner bottle. I am 100% certain now it was perm. Keep in mind I have been natural since 9th grade at the time of the service I was 21. I give credit where credit is due, and in my opinion, they hate to see natural curly hair from African Americans. I say this because my sister-in-law has been going to them, I just found out and that is another reason that I am leaving this review. Another member of their staff put perm in her hair and cut it without her saying she wanted it (her hair was long and beautiful and NATURAL). Don't get me wrong she still has beautiful hair, but they CHOPPED majority off and called it "layers." Plus, her hair is thinner and bone straight. She's been going to them every two weeks for God knows how long. On top of that they charged her for the cut. The audacity! I'm leaving this review specifically for African American individuals. Be mindful of the Dominican salons. If you do go, please and I Stress BRING YOUR OWN PRODUCTS, because this specific establishment and a few other Dominican salons I have been to will do you dirty."
