"Unfortunately it has come to my attention that I need to leave a less than positive review for this company to prevent others from the negligence of Rice Tire. I believe that the 2 stars I decided to rate this review with is generous regarding how our experience with this shop was. If you are like myself or my significant other who has been in this industry or any type of customer service job that is involved with the public than I believe you should take a second to read the rest of my review. I work hard for my vehicles and I strive to maintain them with the same respect. Between the two of us being enthusiasts not just vehicle owners... we have a fleet of cars to maintain and with time it has truly become difficult to find a shop to mount and balance tires that results in consistent quality work in a timely manner. What is considered a mild service for some, seemed extremely difficult to perform for this shop. Looking past the quality of work which was returned to us was the interaction of the employees when presented with questions on why we had to return to the shop for poor quality results. The communication was non existent and we had made it even easier for them to achieve this service by taking the wheels off before hand. What I can't stand is the lack of communication between this shop and customers. I understand this was around the holidays which is why communication is key in keeping everyone up to date and not wasting one anothers time during an already stressful situation. If the shop was already overwhelmed with their workload; I would have appreciated honesty instead of trying to fit us in quickly and lose track of whose tires they were and when they could get them finished by. I can be understanding if I am updated but what I refuse to tolerate is attempting to be upsold on another service when my first service is not completed correctly. I have more questions than answers for the people working at this establishment and their skill ability, but I know that experiences like this are swept under the rug everyday and hope to go unnoticed often. It truly is disappointing to know that I was attempting to support a local shop; seeing as I work at a local establishment around the Ashland area. I will not be taking any of my vehicles here nor will my significant other and will continue to share my experience by word of mouth. I hope the best for this company as I believe everyone needs constructive criticism to grow and hopefully they can have some type of reform at this shop. Best of luck Rice Tire; I hope that you take this review serious enough to make some changes. It would be unfortunate to see future reviews that follow a similar experience as mine. I should have checked the reviews thoroughly at this place before dropping the tires off. I made the mistake of being optimistic this time and giving them the benefit of the doubt. I truly find it to be a shame that we weren't able to call this establishment a more reputable shop to be taken care of; that we enjoyed and trusted to leave our vehicles with for routine maintenance and service. The community that I am in will not be using this place and we will continue our search elsewhere."

"Would have given a higher rating but , after told tires were in-stock & I took off from work they only had one ( should have checked stock ) ! Then when I went back they left 2 caps off valve stems and adjusted air pressure incorrectly. The little things make a big difference. I will still go back when needing tires as I realize things can happen and those were pretty minor issues. I'm glad they are in business and ready to serve."

"From the front desk to the shop the entire staff was courteous and professional. Clean modern facility with comfortable waiting room. Happy to help me with RV/truck tire questions, quotes, warranty, etc. Have purchased new tires from them twice and had one alignment over the last few years. Would recommend them to a friend, and plan to do business with them again."

"I had an issue with my tires as no shop around the area were able to service me. John was able to walk me through the process of getting new tires but also explaining to me why certain shops might not have the equipment/tools for the jobs. John was very informing, curtious, and professional throughout the whole interaction."

"We drove a RV from NJ to Key West on Christmas 2021, and had a hub trouble near Ashland in the very late afternoon!  How lucky we by chance stopped by Rice Tire, then met the most amazing and kindest technicians we ever had. We were able to stay overnight in the parking lot, even hooked up with the shop, while one of the employees drove across the city to pick our parts.  Long story short, our vacation and Christmas were saved. We cannot thank you guys enough!"
