"I have nothing but great things to say about El Rodeo. I was in town for work from Richmond, and the inviting, festive exterior caught my attention. Who doesn't like Mexican food when out for the day? Crazy people, that's who. The interior was bright, well-kempt, tastefully decorated, and has lots of spacious tables and little alcoves to sit in. They can easily seat large parties or small, intimate pairs. And, I have to say, the bar was very well stocked, especially with some excellent tequilas. I got the Pineapple Fajitas, and they were truly a revelation of flavor. Fresh grilled pineapple, red onion, mushrooms, shrimp, red peppers, and your choice of chicken or steak, and then they top with cheese sauce. I went with chicken at the server's recommendation, and he was spot on. The flavors of everything blended together into an incredibly savory, tasty, sumptuous feast. The iced tea was also perfectly brewed; very good flavor without being bitter. Next time we're in town, we will definitely be coming back."

"First-time customer, and here is my first impression: I placed my order online, and it didn't take long at all for my food to be ready. I did think the prices were a little high, but then I got my food. The portion size made it well worth every penny. My food was hot and delicious... and their salsa is definitely one of my new favorites. Will 100% be ordering from here again."

"We ate here at the Salem location last night. My 10 year old found something gross in her food. We thought it kind of looked like a bug but weren’t sure. We showed the server and he said it’s not anything. We pushed a little harder on him because he showed zero concern. It’s just wasn’t a big deal to him. Finally he asked for it and took it to the manager which we could see the whole time and they put it on a napkin and proceeded to dissect it. He brought it back to the table and said it’s not a bug because you can see this tiny little grain that was in it. Which we could not see. He then states that it was probably plants and grass that blew into the kitchen when US Foods is making deliveries. Ok? That doesn’t make it any better to think my 10 year old is eating grass that blew in from god only knows where and ended up in your kitchen and in the food. At this point none of us really wanted to eat our food because we didn’t know if there was outside grass that has possibly blown around all over the ground and stepped on by people’s shoes before it blew into it. Do you know how windy it would have to be for that to happen. I mean he was so nonchalant about it like it just happens all the time. The manager did comp my 10 year olds food but we still had to pay for food we didn’t eat because we were literally told grass and debris blow into the kitchen. Gross. I think they could’ve tried a little bit harder to act like they cared about our negative experience and made a better effort to make it right."

"Great food, tons of options, and variety. Nice staff, busy on weekends. Worth the stop. Only a hop off the interstate if passing through. Outdoor seating available, at night they have fire pits."
