"Terrible. Two espresso drink orders in front of me and 15 minutes later still no drink while the silly girls behind the counter giggled at pictures on their phone. Need to focus less on merch and more on minimal service. Can’t believe I tipped them."
"This location has great coffee and usually has a quiet studying kind of vibe. I do with there were more comfy seating options that were less sterile looking but overall this Grit is my favorite. Their outdoor patio is awesome. Their pricing is also pretty steep. For a dirty chai latte you’ll pay almost $10 which took me by surprise the first time. I won’t be ordering that again but just their regular coffee as it’s good too."

"10/10 Came to Charlottesville for Cater Mountain, and needed a mid afternoon pick me up. The maple leaf latte was yummy! A perfect fall drink! The staff was so kind and friendly. Definitely will stop here anytime I'm I'm Charlottesville."
"This Grit has a very nice vibe, large open floor plan, lots of natural lighting, and friendly staff. They do have breakfast sandwich options, and slightly different flavor options such as lavender and honey. It’s in a residential area, so typically very quiet, although right next to a semi-busy road. If you’re a student trying to study or if you’re working from home, this Grit, unlike others, has outdoor outlets that you can use as charging stations if you plan to stay a while. Only drawback is that they don’t stay open very long (close in the afternoon), so make sure to go early if you plan to stay. I got the medium caramel iced coffee with oat milk (no additional charge). Honestly would swap this for a latte - tastes just as good for a lot less money. Also got the egg/cheese breakfast sandwich which is refrigerated but they toast it for you. It’s pretty decent, the English muffin also tastes a bit sweet with a donut-like texture and aftertaste. Not much flavor elsewhere in the sandwich. Overall, would definitely recommend if you are in the area or looking for a nice place with nice scenery."
