"Went in to get a couple used hollow core door panels for building a light duty workbench. Their prices were all over the place... $10.00 - $45.00 for the same 24" wide hollow core doors, most had damage. Manager came out and acted indignant when I asked him to sell me 3 doors at the same price and told me that was "impossible". First he tried telling me I was buying "premium" doors. When I showed him they were just hollow core interior doors, he then blamed the lower priced doors on an employee "he'd just had to let go for underpricing stuff." I left and went to the Jackson Habitat Restore... and got 3 doors for $5 each..."

"Between the Battle Creek habitat store and the portage Store the portage location is much more newer cupboards tile doors a lot of times furniture and tools / accessories needed around the house. I.e. screws, nails, different tools as well as plenty of doors, sinks, countertops etc. Its priced rather decently. However there isn't a lot of consistency of pricing between the two stores One thing that could be $10 at the Battle Creek store could be $60 at the portage store for example I looked at a base cabinet and that was exactly the price difference when I asked if they would have uphold the same prices as the Battle Creek store they would not. Battle Creek is maybe smaller and you would not usually find the accessories and tools needed for every day DIY but they usually have a great selection of doors which are a little bit cheaper average is about 15 to $25 however in the portage Store The price is usually start at 35 and go on up to about $50along with usually a much better selection of sinks than the portage store it just depends on who is donating to where. that's the key. They don't have any say over with who donates what or where so you never know what you're going to find I usually will call ahead if I'm looking for something specific. Overall I try to stop at one of those stores when I need something before I stop at a retail store and they are not out just for money like some of the other second hand places that are supposed to be nonprofit the ReStore use profits to pay their employees and their bills and the rest goes back to the community. I can get down with that!!!"

"My favorite of all Habitat stores. The folks all know me and are super friendly. I enjoy looking around, and as I go there whenever I am in the area, I find a lot of good deals. It's not a large store but their selection is better than average. They also sell new mattresses."

"What a great selection. And the prices are more than reasonable. I bought a beautiful couch. This couch looks and feels like it's brand new. And most importantly they know a guy who deliver furniture. He charged me only $30!! I will be going back to Habitat for Humanity and YES!!! I absolutely recommend people go there"
