Everything felt squeaky clean and bright, like a fresh scoop of vanilla just waiting to be savored. And the staff? Oh, the staff! They were the whipped cream on top of the whole experience. Every interaction was a warm, welcoming hug, their enthusiasm as contagious as a runaway sprinkle explosion. They truly seemed to delight in spreading smiles, making you feel like you were their favorite flavor. But the real star of the show, of course, was the Elf Extreme Awful Awful. Dive into a sea of creamy swirls, each scoop a symphony of taste and texture. So, if you're ever in Cranston and craving a taste of joy, skip the boring cones and head straight for Newport Creamery. "I have been going to Newport Creamory for nearly 50 years. The quality of the food and the level of service is still the same, excellent. The faces have changed, and the overall interior but the level of service has been consistent across the board. I definitely recommend this establishment."

"No crayons in the restaurant, it took the server over 10 mins to greet us, our “grilled cheese with tomato was nothing but 2 slices of bread, and it took us multiple ice cream flavors on your menu to get to a flavor you had, and got rid of your seasoned fries. My family and I have been coming here for over 30 years , however ,you doubled your prices from what they were a few years ago, the service was the worst I’ve had at any restaurant in many years, and the food quality was an absolute joke for double the price. Terrible food, terrible service and high prices.clearly we weren’t the only ones as witnessed multiple parties get up and walk out after dealing with less than pleasant service staff. We won’t be back any longer ! And as a lifelong Cranston resident will definitely pass our experience along to our family and friends at school and community. Very sad, wouldn’t be surprised to see it close, seems as if they are going under."

"Absolutely HORRIBLE. I never write reviews but today I had to. First off, my husband and I were sat at a dirty table with a DIRTY MENU. We originally had a dirty menu that they replaced with another dirty menu. We had to shift to the next table on our own. Our desserts were made wrong. I repeated my order twice to the our waiter and the “kid” who brought/made us our dessert didn’t even know what the dessert was called and said it’s the one with the graham cracker in it. 1. Wrong ice cream, 2. The ice cream was 80% melted 3. My husband had 3 missing ingredients with his dessert (the Caramel, the whipped cream, and cherry). This place has nothing but kids who don’t know what they’re doing. I feel bad for even saying that but they need some kind of adult leadership here to help run the place. It’s messy and so unorganized here. Our waiter offered us to pay without even giving the check that we had to go and ask for because we’ve been waiting for it since we got our dessert. Sooo disappointed"

"It would be better if the host/manager informs the customers on the possible wait time before they seat them. I had to wait for 25 min for a server to first attend my table and waited another 45mins for the food to arrive. Meanwhile two families walked out after loosing their patience waiting for their food. Just set the expectations right from the start so that who don’t mind waiting for an hour chooses to dine there and others can chose accordingly. The servers are really sweet and friendly but I feel bad for them who are facing the blunt and frustrations of the customers. Food- 7/10 Wait time - very bad (Sunday brunch)"
