About the Business

Ember Forge is a unique cafe and store located at 401 State Street in Erie, Pennsylvania. We offer a variety of delicious coffee blends, including a sweet medium-roast from Uganda and Tanzania, and a dark blend from Brazil and Colombia. Our single origin coffee is sourced responsibly to support fair wages and community resources.

In addition to coffee, we also offer a selection of specialty teas such as Earl Grey, Raspberry Truffle, and Dragon Tears Green, as well as tasty treats like Banana Nut Bread and Wild Orange.

Ember Forge was founded with the goal of creating a space for community building and idea sharing. Our locally-roasted coffee from Happy Mug Coffee in Edinboro, PA, serves as the perfect backdrop for conversations with neighbors and friends. We strive to be the heart of the downtown community.

The name "Ember Forge" reflects the building's history as a chandlery and the city's manufacturing past. We believe that Erie is like an ember waiting to be reignited, and we are committed to being a part of its revitalization.

We value feedback from our customers and are always looking for ways to improve. Contact us at 814-651-0718 or visit us during our business hours: Monday-Friday 7am-5pm, Saturday 8am-4pm, and Sunday 9am-2pm. Join us in forging a new and flourishing Erie!

"I visited Erie for two days. Found E&F for my morning Espresso. I saw the same customers both days, super friendly clientele, the baristas remembered me and my order the day before. This is a place run the right way, operated and visited by awesome people. Plus it’s just clean and relaxing - great environment. A+. And the espresso is as good as anywhere. They know how to make it right"

"The best coffee place is Erie. I've spend so many mornings here, I've lost count. Coffee is always delicious and everyone is so friendly and kind. The whole atmosphere overall is very welcoming and warm. Prices are very reasonable. I would recommend it to any coffee enthusiasts out there!"

"Have been multiple times and always had a good experience , they are wheelchair Accesible , have Wi-Fi indoor and outdoor seating in the picture the second window with the cement stone underneath was there walk up window during the pandemic as the indoor area was closed . Have had various coffee , lattes and chai tea drinks all were fresh hot and expertly crafted , I had many visits during the winter months with my surgeon across the street so a hot cup of coffee was always on the menu after an appointment well waiting for the bus ."

"My Wife grew up in Erie, so we were back to visit for the Holidays. I have to say, I wish this place were out by us in the Chicago Suburbs. Great coffee(by great I mean amazing), super friendly and competent staff. And an adorable atmosphere. We were in town for a week and the only day we didn't stop by was Christmas(because they were Closed). Erie needs more businesses like this, it's helping breathe life back into that city and I hope that they continue to be successful. Also, for the quality of product you get from there, they could be charging much more and I would gladly pay it. If you visit Erie, PA or even happen to live there, do yourself a favor and make sure you visit them sometime. You will thank me. I promise you!"
