"Despite of Dr. Heron being a good, compassionate person, she lacks the skills to keep an office running or hiring someone to do it for her. She hasn't showed up for two appointments within the last three months, I have ran out of my meds and leaving messages or emails it's worthless because nobody gets back to me. She shouldn't play with patients psych meds! If we go to her is because we are dealing with mental health issues and that's not something to take lightly. Finding and getting appointments with psychiatrists in Erie is very hard, I thought I could trust on her but once again she left me hanging without care and meds."

"I scheduled an appointment for around two and I showed up around 149 I go to the front to open up the door and there is a sign, saying if the door is locked call the number on the paper because there’s only one person in the building at this moment and it’s for safety reasons that is understandable but I called that number and the person I was with called the number about seven different times and the receptionist at the time never open the door. She wasn’t even present there was only a jacket from the inside sitting on a chair, we knocked on the door we called the number we even looked in the back we waved at the cameras and yet nobody open the door for us so I missed my appointment and I’m pretty sure they’re going to charge me for something I didn’t even miss it was the receptionist, or whoever was there at the time"

"I was referred here by my insurance. I made the call and set up an appointment for my daughter. I was excited that the appointment was for the next day. However, I began to lose confidence when I saw the outside of the building. Did not appear that anyone has done landscaping within the last 2 to 3 years. Upon entering the building, there was a very discernible smell and the inside was as unkept as the outside. I completed the paperwork, which took quite a bit of time. I then went to hand it in and was asked for a school report. I had no idea what they were referring to. The person, I can only assume it's the doctor as I saw no one else, said that I needed a school report for ADHD for my daughter. I informed her that I was not there for ADHD treatment. In fact, I had never even mentioned ADHD in my initial phone call or even on the paperwork that I filled out. I told her what I was actually hoping to have my daughter seen for and she, quite rudely, informed me that she didn't treat that and that I had said I was there for ADHD. I told her that it appeared we were done here and I went to gather my belongings. She then reiterated that I had told her on the phone that I was coming in for ADHD treatment. I told her that was simply untrue and then left. Clearly this place is a hot mess. How they got the idea that I was bringing in my daughter for ADHD I will never know. I pulled my girl out of school, drove across town and spent this time filling out paperwork all for nothing. I would give zero stars if that was possible."

"I saw Dr. Herron for a month or two and really liked her. However I went to one of my appointments and the office was locked nobody was there. She didn’t even show up for my appointment or call me. So the next day they call and reschedule my appointment and apologize. One week later I go back the office is locked and she isn’t there again! Two appointments she the doctor now didn’t show up to. Never called me back nothing. Just left me hanging in limbo to find a new physician. DO NOT USE! I could say more but save yourself time and go elsewhere."

"Dr. Heron is a kind, compassionate psychiatrist. I did feel that I could open up about symptoms without being brushed off or invalidated. However, on 2/16/22, Dr. Heron arrived to the office at 11 am, although she had clients scheduled prior. I had to call them to be informed, and I had to schedule my appointment for a later time. This was fine for a one-time thing. However, today on 3/9/22, I had an appointment for 11: 30 am. She was 30 minutes late, and her receptionist (Christina) had no idea what Dr. Heron's schedule was at that time. She was on the other line, but the receptionist should be able to have the schedule figured out even when there are delays. The appointment resulted in a phone call instead of the virtual call I asked for. She was still helpful, but I would expect better organization, communication, and professional skills while working with clients. Nothing is bad about her talents, but there is much lacking in efficiency of the practice. I have proof in text form, but I will not post for privacy of both parties. I would say that it is up to the client whether or not she is good for them, but I personally want a psych that is on time and efficient in more than just prescribing medication and empathy. Professionalism is a major component to success. As a client, I deserve that professionalism to follow through, as I pay for the services to be professional and effective. I had read these reviews before contacting this practice, but decided to give her a chance since reviews are sometimes wrong. However, all the clients that say she is very late to her appointments are accurate. I have tried to be understanding for as long as possible, but today is where I need to speak up and say this is an issue. Not fair to Dr. Heron or her clients to have such a lack in organization and consistency in the professional field."
