"If I could give zero stars I would. At every appointment I had with her she fat shamed me. I only gained 25lbs during my entire pregnancy. I had my daughter during the pandemic and she was my first so I didn't have anyone with me during my checkups. I am not confrontational and it was embarrassing, so I didn't know how to handle it at the time. She tried giving me advice about my diet and told me to "eat frozen vegetables" and said that if I continued to gain weight I would need a c-section. Unfortunately, she was the physician that delivered my child at Magee and she didn't give me a chance to even push during labor. I was at 9.5 cm dilated and she ended up doing a c-section. Probably because I was 1 of 16 women who were in labor that evening and was the last one to deliver. My mother-in-law was a labor and delivery nurse and told me unfortunately when doctors don't want to deal with you especially first time mother's they will push c-sections. At my first postpartum checkup she checked my incision and made a remark about how it was healing well but that "nobody would be able to see it anyways" and laughed because she was referring to my stomach fat currently hiding it at the time. I had just had a child and this woman continued to fat shame and make me feel horrible. As if being pregnant during a pandemic and not having any advocates during that time wasn't enough, I had to deal with everything she said and did. She's unprofessional and I am still traumatized by the entire ordeal."
