"Dined there Saturday and Sunday night. Both servers were excellent, and they seated a table of 8 just before closing time. We all enjoyed our food and drinks, and appreciated the staff staying late for us to finish our dinner."

"My husband ordered a tall beer which was served in a frosted mug. As we were munching on chips and salsa, he lifted the mug to take a sip, and the bottom fell out, splashing beer all over our laps, the table, the booth seat, my purse, our shoes, and the floor. We immediately asked for towels to clean up the mess, which we did ourselves. Luckily, we live close by, so my husband went home to change clothes because he was soaked. We changed tables (there were 4 in our party), ordered, and my husband returned in time to eat his meal. Meanwhile, staff seated another party at the table we vacated, without cleaning the beer-soaked floor. The owner finally came to our table and chuckled that this wasn't the first time a mug had been defective. However, he offered us nothing to compensate for the complete disruption of our meal. Not my husband's meal being comped, not a free dessert, not a discount coupon for our next visit, nothing! He acted like it was a grand gesture not to charge us for the original beer! We said we would think twice about returning to this restaurant. He said "Good, I don't want customers like you anyway." Unfathomable rudeness."

"I’m a big fan of Mexican food, absolutely love it. I was told that Calaveras Mexican Bar & grill was a place that would not disappoint. So I had to stop out and give it a try. The parking lot was nice a spacious, no issues with the parking. My seating options were tables, booths or bar stools, I chose a table. My server was very pleasant & friendly, got my drink & dinner order quick & correctly. The My food was out pretty quick, hot & was delicious. I also enjoyed the atmosphere, calm and relaxing. They had a large & proper bar. Lots of televisions, I know I would enjoy watching a sporting event here with a beverage from the bar. Overall I had a great dining experience, no complaints. I will definitely be dining here again soon."

"The food was amazing. Service was top-notch. Outside seating and inside! The guacamole was fresh, the cheese dip and salsa were good. The picture is the Grande Burrito. And wad phenomenal!"

"Been here only 3x's always friendy, prompt, and delivers the best cuisine for the authenticity of his food. I am a food connoisseur and I can tell you first thing, they want to please their guests! If there's anything that you need extra on the spicy side or any herbs they are there for you! They cater to the American part of our culture! However I am very cultured, I like my things with lots of herbs and lots of spices. But I have to tell you, this place is very calm, peaceful and it has whatever your Indulgence are if you love this type of culture food! I will always come back when I'm running errands and need a bite to eat!"
