"Be careful buying here!! We were ready with a check from the bank to buy. The vehicle was four wheel drive and only two tires were replaced. There were a few other concerns with the vehicle. Instead of ensuring the issues would be looked into and corrected, the salesperson tried to justify the problems. Instead of ensuring the right thing would be done, the sales manager told us to wait and he’d get back to us. They were going to replace the tires for the same asking price but not address any additional concerns from the car facts or when the vehicle was test driven. We looked into other options that evening and called back to let them know we would move forward with another vehicle. The salesman this time was very helpful and straightforward. However, when being transferred back to the sales manager to let him know we were moving forward with a very similar but better deal he was abrupt, only cared about his “sales margin”, and stated he would no longer be replacing the other two tires. Therefore, has no intention of doing right by the customer but only caring about the bottom line. Hopefully someone who reads this with less knowledge of vehicles will read this and not get taken advantage of."

"I bought my car in 2017 April. It was not a VW but a token Ford on the lot. The deal was appealing 22k miles with some warranty remaining. The engine looked cosmetically clean. The finance mgr said it belonged to a relative of his and vouched for the vehicle. I told them I never bought a car before and that I didn't have a benchmark to evaluate what's good and that I hoped they will be transparent with me. I also told them I am intending to drive it quite seldom since I am a year round cyclist and I live in the city. I took a test drive around and I actually asked the young sales guy whether the noise was normal. he said Ford Focus is known to be noisy, his supervisors also told me the same thing over the phone. So I just accepted it as a fact. The rear bumper had much more matte finish to it and they said it is original and that there was no accident. after 15k miles of light usage I couldn't stand the noise any longer so I took it for a check up last year and the mechanic told me the second they took out the bearings the whole thing fell apart and that he has never seen such an extreme failure in bearings. A couple of months later Ford sent a warranty extension for clutch so I took it for repair, and I found out that the slave cylinder needed replacement alongside the whole transmission overhaul. The clutch replacement was covered by extended insurance so it was fine and I can't blame anyone for that. But since the car was already in service I thought let me ask what else can they fix. They told me tires needed replacement and I asked for the original, and guess what even the tires on the vehicle weren't original they replaced them with much cheaper COOPER tires instead of Continental Conti Pro Contact tires. Cooper tires are 30% cheaper and when I bought the vehicle they weren't even new. So far I spent $2,000 on this vehicle (could have been 5,000 but warranty extension covered 3,000 of the clutch replacement work). The difference in ride comfort, handling and quietness between the time I bought it and after the service is like a day and night. So my advice to people trying to buy used cars at Stohlman would be not to trust their managers and sales people alike. And try to get a third party opinion before pulling the trigger. Honesty is in deficit at Stohlman I reckon."

"I was in the area for a funeral service and had a flat tire. Jack Smith was super helpful and got me back on the road. Raheem helped out by escorting me to my car and assisting with that process. Super generous. More than fair. If I ever need service in the area, I'll be found at Stohlman."
