"The coffee is fantastic, but that’s a minimum to be expected from a coffee pop-up. The thing that’s unique about Groovie Bean is what they stand for in their coffee and service. The roaster they get their coffee from has a personal relationship with his non-domestic farmers, going so far as to visit them from time to time. For me, I highly value and prioritize where my beans come from (look into it, coffee trading can be a terrible ethically) so the fact that the owner Melissa feels the same definitely is huge. Her service is next to none: every cup is served with a smile and positive energy you want to add to your coffee like cream and sugar. You walk away from the stand feeling like you don’t even need the coffee anymore because you feel refreshed from genuine human connection. And again, the coffee is FANTASTIC, so of course you drink it anyway. I’m a black coffee drinker, so I get the uninhibited taste. I had the Colombian roast, it was so nutty and Carmely that you would almost guess it was flavored, but no, it’s just a fantastic roast. Would highly recommend stopping by wherever the Groovie Bean is set up, even going out of your way to do so"
