Anchorage Counseling, LLC, located at 815 Ritchie Highway in Severna Park, Maryland, offers hybrid sessions for clients, allowing them to choose between in-person or telehealth sessions. Prior to in-person sessions, clients may be required to fill out a pre-screening questionnaire. For telehealth sessions, the practice uses Telehealth by Simple Practice, a HIPPA compliant platform. Clients will receive a reminder with a link to access the telehealth appointment 48 hours prior to the session, as well as a link 10 minutes before the appointment time. It is important to be in a quiet, private location with a secure internet connection for confidentiality during the session. Clients can simply click the link to log onto the session, where they will be placed in a virtual "waiting room" until the therapist joins at the appointment time. There is no need to download any additional software for the telehealth session. If using a smartphone, clients can download the Telehealth by Simple Practice app from the App Store or Google Play Store.
