"I'm so incredibly disappointed and disheartened at the experience I've had at Family Insights trying to get help for my 5-year-old. I called yesterday 10/30 and spoke with Sheila Goldizen the office manager of Manassas and Fairfax- Sheila Goldizen scheduled my child for Friday November 10th at 12pm in the Manassas location (the choices you gave me were Thursday Nov 9th at 11 OR Friday Nov 10th at 12pm) Sheila Goldizen confirmed the appointment and said she scheduled my son with “therapist Emon Iaz”. Then I got an email from 2 different people asking for my insurance card and ID- all sent within minutes of each other. I then get a phone call from YET ANOTHER person (Emma Wood) who leaves a threatening voicemail that all appointments will be canceled unless I fill out intake forms that I wasn't even given yet and that the appointment is set for Monday Nov 13th at 11am IN FAIRFAX with an entirely different provider. I emailed back my confusion- no response. I called the office and spoke with whoever answered and said "oh it looks like Emma called last- let me find her" then puts me on hold- a voice comes on the line and says one word, then BEEP- I've been sent to her voice mail. I called the office back- they don't answer. I know they're screening the caller ID so I keep calling back- no answer after several attempts. So I call the mainline and explain what happened to that woman- she puts me on hold and then hangs up on me. What in the hell. Emma Wood then calls back and says Sheila Goldizen if the office manager of both Manassas and Fairfax offices, and she is just the lead Admin- Her Office Manager(Sheila) told her to contact me and let me know that Sheila had explained everything to me, and now I need to be fit into the schedule- and that she's fit us in on Monday Nov 13th at 11am with some different provider in the Fairfax location, and she is "sorry about the confusion" There is no confusion at my end- the confusion is with the office/ the staff. I take extensively detailed notes when I'm on a call- I don't like being lied to and gaslighted by mental health professionals. That is not the relationship I want to start with at an office- so you've lost my business. Not that it matters- the reviews online all say the same. And mine will join them. LOL Ashley Wyatt emailed me back saying since I got upset with them they are canceling the Appointments- I already canceled them!! That’s how much y’all don’t communicate with each other. I’ve already fired you guys"

"I’m shocked at the other reviews that say they only care about money. We did have an insurance/ billing issue but not only did they not hound us about payment, I had to keep calling back to make sure it was paid! Ms. Moore has been a very attentive therapist and very willing to work with schedule changes and such."

"The other review was right many of the “therapist” are NOT licensed actually it’s just people that’s either in college or coming out of college that’s here. This place is very unethical. I remember my old supervisor informed me that I could counsel clients virtually while they were out of state/country (I called the board and was informed that was incorrect). This job pushes for numbers so they can make money. The turn over is high for a reason."

"Horrible place to work. Therapists are non-licensed. The work culture and environment are extremely non-professional. Addendum: I'm not surprised you can't locate personnel files. Very typical of the disorganization at this agency. But what is much, much worse is the non-professionalism and machiavelian management style that leads to chronic turnover. And that is something to truly apologize for. Perhaps instead of the chronic projection, vindictiveness, scapegoating and acting out that characterizes managements style you might begin with some introspection and self-reflection utilizing the skills that you should possess as an agency that offers mental health treatment. Consider changing yourself and the work culture. You owe it to your clients, at least."

"I just took my daughter in for her very last session at Family Insight. We will not be back. Her therapist seemed very concerned with payment above all else and went so far as to start a verbal altercation with me at the reception desk (with my daughter present as well as other patients) when I asked how much I owed. I have no problem paying our bill and in no way was trying to avoid paying the bill or copay, but not one person could actually give me a straight answer about what our balance was. When I asked the therapist what the amount owed was I was met with defensiveness and hostility, not professional and extremely distressing to myself and my seven year old daughter. In good conscience I cannot continue to send my child somewhere where the employees are so quick to fly off the handle and cannot have a mature conversation about very standard business practices. Avoid this place if you value professionalism."
