"We spent 3 days working with ubreakifix in Bel Air due to insurance coverage. On the second day and third trip, I arrived at 3:45, my screen was fixed ( I saw it) and they just needed my passcode to collaborate. They asked me to wait for 5 minutes. At 4:45 I was told there was a freak issue and that the Apple system crashed and they had to wait for it to be up and running before they could fix so I would have to come back. During my hour there, 4 different customers came and left without their purpose for visiting being fulfilled. Two customers left clearly upset and one left verbally and outwardly angry. After being told the news, I let them know I would return at 5:45 since they closed at 6. The young man said “You have bad luck, if you had been here an hour ago, this wouldn’t have been an issue” (I was there an hour ago). I left my phone number so they could call to update me. I left feeling optimistic and with an open mind. I returned at 5:50, there was no change, Rowan ( different employee) said he could try again in 5 minutes, but if I returned the next day, it would definitely be ready at 10:00am when they opened the next day. I returned at 2:30 the following day. There was a customer there that was finishing up and also left empty handed and visibly upset. Rowan told me there was a problem, that the ticket wasn’t valid and that he couldn’t do a second ticket and all phones that were broken during the freak Apple crash couldn’t be fixed. He was claiming it was Apple’s fault and then he tells me, he removed the fixed screen and put the broken screen back on my phone!!! He continued saying, (stalling to find words) that I would have to call the insurance company for another claim. I admit, I lost my temper at this point. Another employee, with no title, named Q, came out and tried to explain Apple’s issue,. I admit due to already hearing a lot of nonsense, I didn’t let him explain. When I asked why Rowan didn’t call me at 10 am to make me aware of the situation, Q replied “ We just found out an hour ago” When asked about the fact that I was promised it would be done at 10, why didn’t I get a call all day, there was no response. Q said he had worked there for 6 years, not sure why. When I asked for a little bit if customer service and not wasting people’s time, Rowan replied “ We didn’t waste your time, you had to pick your phone up, it’s your property.” I admit I lost my temper even more to this comment. When I asked for a print out of both work orders they claimed to submit and any other communications, I was at first told there wasn’t any. When I insisted that there had to be at least a claim number or work order and I didn’t believe him, they went to the back and returned with a receipt sized print out. When I asked for their names, I was told they won’t give out last names. I explained that I wanted them to handle this because my prediction is that this is going to turn into a finger pointing game and that all I wanted was some customer service and truthful communication when they couldn’t perform the basic services that this company clearly brands that they offer."
