"Our 9 year old with a short attention span was gifted guitar lessons with Ed for his birthday this year. I couldn’t be happier with this experience. Ed keeps it fun with the right mix of goofing around and focus on the lessons to keep him engaged and never frustrated. I love sitting in and watching these interactions and we are definitely going to keep these lessons going."

"this guy is awesome and made learning guitar so much fun for me when i went to him about ten years ago. I had 3 teachers over the years and this guy is the best with the audio,acoustics, rhythm, and electronics involved with recording but also equally great at teaching and playing the instrument. I quit both my other teachers because they just didn't understand that they had my boredom and stress levels so high that i almost gave up and thought guitar was lame. With ed as a teacher it seemed like he noticed how i felt and realized it wasn't working before I even did! He switched up the lessons and taught me some different really fun variations like easy tabs or catchy rhythms in between learning sheet music so when i left i knew something fun instead of practicing twinkle twinkle little star junk that nobody likes nonstop till my next lesson. He even showed me some hilarious short cartoons like this one about some mad man that looked like a mexican wrestler and taught me how important the background music was and that there are so many different ways to use music to make things better and so many things in life more enjoyable. Ed Kihm is an awesome person and teacher and I couldn't give anyone a higher recommendation than I give to him."
