Reviews
"I have been seeing Dr. Vijay & Dr. Sachin since 1992. They are both great Dr's. Also great people. Mindy also has always been wonderful"
"My husband is diabetic and was getting blood work and medications through this office. When our insurance changed he needed to work with the doctor’s office to get his prescriptions moved to a different pharmacy and never got a call back, never got any type of communication or response, and subsequently missed his last refill of essential medications because the doctor will not call it in or acknowledge his attempts. Ultimately my husband is now scrambling to find another doctor to see him so they can call in his medications. I am absolutely disgusted with this office and how thoroughly they have ignored my husband. I have written about 5 reviews ever and I am in so much disbelief with our experience that I am resorting to an online review to caution anyone who is considering using this office. Naturally I would express these concerns privately with the doctor’s office rather than a public forum but *shockingly* they are still not calling us back after days of attempts."
"I've been with Dr. Sachin Bahl for more than 15 years and have a wonderful relationship with him and Mindy. Mindy is always on top of everything and Dr. Bahl speaks directly to me about my lab results and answers my questions"
"I've been dealing with this office for a decade, and I'm done with them after numerous failures. It's very hard to reach anybody at the office, especially bad when dealing with one of their satellite offices. I almost always have to leave a message, even during the day. I understand they are busy, but I don't believe I've got through to an individual in years. This makes a simple question very difficult. Callback time is hit-or-miss but there are some serious issues with their communication regardless. I've been given false information in regards to prescriptions too many times to count. Years ago, when I didn't have insurance, I had a company (Novo Nordisk) sending me free insulin as part of a special program they had. The doctor's office needed to fill out a form each month with basically the same data. Almost every time I called or stopped in for the medications, I was told that I would need to call the company that produces the insulin to find out why they wouldn't send it. Every time I called, the company would tell me that the office did not fill out a form. Then from here would be a game of phone tag with me in the middle until I would finally get the information that the office did not fill out the form after they've denied it a few times. There's more too. Today, I got a call from the doctors office about a prescription I had been trying to fill. I had been told by the pharmacy that I needed to have the doctor resend them my prescription. There had been some issue because of the date they sent it. Since I had gotten new insurance recently, I thought it might just be that the new insurance didn't cover that exact brand of medication and mentioned this in my call to the doctor's office as a possibility. The doctor's office called me back the same evening I called them (I was busy) and again in the afternoon. The woman on the phone told me that my pharmacy did not have any insurance information for me, and that I would need to call them about it. I was surprised as I had been at the pharmacy when they had put my information in. I had seen them do it. Confused, I called the pharmacy. It turns put that the doctor's office gave me false information. The pharmacy had not told them that I didn't have insurance. They repeated what I had thought - my new insurance doesn't cover my medication. I called the doctor's office back to ask why I was lied to, and of course I had to leave a message once again. One other situation was a little different. My doctor, Dr. Lin, told me that I had an issue with high cholesterol. This concerned me as I don't really eat a lot of things that would cause this: I'm a vegan, so no eggs or meat. He said that it was not high for a normal person but was high for a diabetic. He said that if it returned high again next time, he would need to prescribe me a statin to help lower it. I actually experienced some chest pain near my heart some time afterwards. Looking back on it, I believe it was due to moving furniture and being hit by a bicycle. At the time I was very concerned though. When I asked Dr. Lin about the cholesterol he just shook his head and acted like he had never heard of me having high cholesterol or risk of heart problems from it. He told me to call a heart doctor. I assume he must have read the data wrong at some point and then just shirked responsibility. That's pretty bad. I'm not dealing with this nonsense anymore, and neither should you. I will say the satellite office in St. Margaret's has been pretty good with communication and that Doctor Lin was very friendly. Perhaps the main office needs more staff, a better system, or more open and honest employees. They also need to not direct all calls to their main office when you leave a message. Overall, there are better practices out there. Don't go to this one."
"My wife said she lost her insurance and that she got a new one that considers diabetes a disability, which it is under the ADA amendment of 2008. He laughed in her face and proceeded to not give her any sensible or professional advice. DO NOT see Sachin Bahl. He is the worst. This facility also repeatedly dropped the ball at getting prescriptions in on time, resulting in a panicking rush at the end of the week. Also, impossible to get a hold of anyone on the phone, it just goes to an answering service. What kind of doctor doesn't know about the ADA or the amendment of 2008, ESPECIALLY when it is about YOUR field of medicine?"
