"We drove up from Silver Spring after doing some research on local farms that produce Berkshire pork. We were thoroughly impressed by the entire experience. The shop was neat, clean, and well-stocked. The young man who helped us was delightful - so helpful and friendly. As someone who goes out of her way to shop for humanely raised animal products, I asked the young man about the animals and he remarked that the animals were treated better than the humans. Provided that is true, I will be returning for sure! The boneless ham we purchased was top-tier; the only thing that would have made it better would be if it was uncured. But the young man (I wish I had recorded his name) did say that they can offer that - I assume with some advance notice. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the product. I sort of wanted to keep them as my little secret, but thought it only fair to support this wonderful family farm with a positive review."
"Their meat is fresh-tasting and delicious. I've bought from them a couple times previously (randomly at the Bethesda Farmers Market) when I lived closer to them, and the ribeye was fantastically juicy! I am now putting in my second order online with them for Memorial Day weekend and can't wait. 5 stars for their beef, pork and chicken sausage and certainly exceeds any premium grocery store. Staff and communication are great, too, when they confirm your order or tell you that they've run out of something."
