"Most of the days I go to Save-a-Lot for groceries are pretty pleasant. The staff are kind and lovely people who are very efficient at making the line go as fast as they can, so I appreciate what they do. I don't particularly mind bagging my own groceries, so no problems there. The produce varies from being a bargain to being a bit on the pricier side sometimes though, so it's a gamble whether you're saving money on some trips. Overall, if you're looking to pick up something quick at a convenient, walkable location, it's an alright place to go."

"My current favorite place to shop is next to my house and it is one of the cheapest places, but if it is possible to provide halal chicken next time, I would buy a quantity of halal ready-made meat, but we need chicken now."

"Not only do you have to provide your own bags AND bag your own groceries, you ALSO have to check your bags you’re going to use with the RUDE SECURITY GUARD at the door! Even though it’s the neighborhood grocery store and convenient, I’ll shop where your not tested like a criminal. I think it’s called profiling! RIDICULOUS!!!"

"Rotting produce, fruit fly infestations and an aggressive bag check policy makes the trek here hellish and dilemmna-producing. Should I go even though I know security is going to follow me after they try to tackle me for carrying a book bag in a city where plastic bags are banned? Even though the store is scheduled to close at 9 will it be open when I arrive at 8:30 for bananas? Will I have to swat fruit flies to get to the bananas, onions, tomatoes or potatoes? Does Save A-Lot profit from poverty and misery by adding tobacco and lottery shops inside the locations? Will the “machine” work? Will the cashier ever say hello? Will there never not be a line? How many other people got sick after buying produce from here? Is my apple rotting though I just bought the bag? Why is the peanut butter bland? How long has this spinach been sitting here. If i did not live in a food desert I would have been stopped patronizing this grocery store. All i can positively say is thanks for being open throughout the peak of the pandemic. The best thing about this Save A Lot was the Amazon lockers and cheap eggs- both long gone. This location is a lifeline to students, seniors and families but that line appears increasingly mangled."
