"We had a lovely meal on the front patio, here in downtown Youngstown. Our server was forgetful and distracted, but fortunately we weren't in a hurry. This tasty food is served in courses on smaller plates with plenty of time for conversation in between. It's not a good spot for a quick and easy meal--it's not like American Italian food swimming in red sauce, etc... It's more complex, more subtle, and it takes some thought to orchestrate the right combination of flavors over courses. I recommend holding on to the menu and ordering one course at a time just to pace yourself. It's a bit less dramatic than Aqua Pazzo, and quite a bit smaller--almost cozy. I really enjoyed a "Paloma" cocktail with tequila and pink grapefruit, as well as the charcuterie board with delightful and unusual warm olives, and artichokes. I was very impressed with the small plate of Brussels Sprouts, my fave! What a great compliment to Youngstown's stellar Cucina scene!"
"We had a very nice time at Prima Cucina. Our server, I think Fredirico, (sorry if the spelling is wrong) was friendly and knowledgeable. And the service was prompt as well. We ate octopus for the appetizer, a braised pork pasta for dinner, as well as the half chicken. All of it was really good. Octopus was tender, pasta had the right amount of meat and sauce, and the chicken had a perfect crisp to it! Would definitely return,"
