M nail salon on walnut

"My gel manicure looks so bad and I am angry because I have a wedding this weekend and do not have time to redo them. I cannot believe how much I paid for my nails to look like this and I was so upset walking out. I got a gel manicure, which you have to be careful with because once you put the first coat on, that's it, and the man doing my nails could not even make straight lines. My cuticles are filled with nail polish and my nails don't look even. I could have done a better job at home for free. Not going back here."

"If you’re looking for a friendly clientele, this is not the place to go. My roommate and I showed up at the salon at 2:30 for a 2:30 appointment. We were both taken right away to the technician. I came for a simple gel manicure. The first technician knocked my phone off the table and onto the ground and shattered the entire screen. After pretending she didn’t see it, she transferred me to another technician. The second technician started my nails at 4:05 despite having a 2:30 appointment. There were many individuals who came in between 3:30-4:00 who got in and out before me. My second nail technician did an amazing job, but wanted me to pay $70 for the gel manicure. After I nicely explained that my experience wasn’t worth $70, a guy worker stormed up and told me to pay and to never come back to this place. He publicly humiliated me in front of the entire salon despite me being kind and understanding. Definitely do not recommend if you are looking for a friendly environment."

"It's a real shame that this will be my last time going back to M-Nails on Walnut. My first experience (red nails) as a walk-in was wonderful, and the nail tech did such a great job so it made me want to schedule an appointment with them again. The second (pinkish-white nails) time was terrible and the staff was very rude. The tech did a decent job on my fill, but I don't even want to give them another try because I felt very uncomfortable. When I was explaining that I wanted him to re-apply one of my nails because it felt like stuff could potentially get trapped under it, he acted like that was a problem (I mentioned this over the phone when I made the appointment). Then when I told him I wanted to maintain the coffin shape he and the other techs started to laugh. Shortly after this, he asked who did my nails. I told him the other guy that worked there did my nails. I described him because I did not ask for his name during my first visit. Then they all started laughing again. After he finished my nails, I had to ask for him to apply cuticle oil. Overall, he and the other staff were rude and I did not feel welcomed at all which is funny because their attitudes were quite different when I was just a walk-in. I'm not a regular (and even if I was), I do not expect the red carpet to be rolled out, but I do expect people to be polite, neat, and detail-oriented if I'm paying you $55 plus a tip above 15%."

"If I could give a zero I will. I’m not sure how their other services are but getting acrylic gel done here is a sure waste of money. This was my first visit to M-nails and I went because I was working on crunch time and they had good reviews. On getting there, they didn’t have any pink nudes for women of color. I came up with my own solution to this problem by having them mix colors. Forward to 5 days after the nails started popping off. By day 10 I had lost 5 nails already. This has never happened to me in all my years of getting acrylics. I went back to the store, explained the situation and was told I’ll have to pay to get a new set. I left because I wasn’t going to waste my money that way again. Pictures included were taken on day 12."
