"Great experience as a adult student. I have learned so much and teachers are all very patient and understanding. Also I have met many nice adult dancers here and it really is a nice community. Also I encourage the people who gave bad reviews to talk to the owner and the teacher. I think there may be just caused by some misunderstanding. I have been to many ballet studios. I have encountered teachers that are arrogant and look down on students who never did ballet before. The teachers here are definitely the most kind and patient."

"I’m writing this review from two perspectives: I am an adult dancer at Misako’s and an active volunteer with the children’s dance programs and events. My only regret in writing this review is that I cannot give 10 stars, but am restricted to 5! I began taking ballet classes at Misako’s three years ago, and now take three classes a week. Misako is an exceptional teacher, who motivates her students through her patient and detailed instruction, but also through her love of ballet. She is unfailingly gentle and supportive. Every time I take a class, I feel a sense of accomplishment and the happiness that comes from self expression. The nurturing environment fosters a sense of community and friendship among the adult dancers. The studio is truly my “happy place.” When I first began taking classes, there wasn’t a beginner’s class for adults. But Misako is very careful to ensure that each student takes classes at the right level, so she created new classes to meet the needs of beginner students. This example reflects her strong commitment to participants. Because I am so grateful to Misako, I began volunteering with the children’s programs and events. It’s fun to see how much the children enjoy dancing, and showing what they’ve learned. A major focus of the studio is on understanding other cultures, and this is reflected in numerous programs throughout the year. The studio fosters inclusivity as well as diversity, making it a very welcoming and warm environment. It is a wonderful learning experience in every sense."

"This review is based upon how my daughter felt overall doing this things she loves and talk about all the time. When she enrolled at 4 years old she was always showing me her moves and all and even teaching me how to do ballet. Now fast forward a few months I noticed she doesn’t talk about ballet anymore, I asked my daughter how is ballet class and she said with a sad face she got “kicked out”, “doesn’t belong there” “and not a good fit” and then I asked her mom who enrolled her originally and she told me this Asian instructor had issues with my child. How does a full adult have issues with a 4 year old? If you do not know how to deal with kids then you should not be in business teaching kids, it’s that simple. I was so angry that a tiny human like yourself will make my child feel that way and think you can get away with it. As an immigrant myself I was so upset but I am not surprised, most Asians are indeed racist. If I was white then the whole issue would have been a different situation. My child is 4 years, what do you expect from a 4 year old, perfect coordination at 4? This is America where we don’t force kids to do things intensely or intensively like they do in Asian dojos making kids suffer thinking that how to teach discipline, making them feel insecure by yelling and saying bad demeaning words to them, and at the end making them feel unsatisfied with their lives. If you indeed love the kids that enroll in your ballet studio, you will treat them with respect regardless of race. I was so appalled that my child was already saying phrases she was told at this practice, phrases I have never heard her say anywhere else, not school, daycare, no where else. It is incredibly insane for a grown adult to be mean, hateful and racist towards a child, innocent child of mine. But guess what? My child knows she has two loving parents who are role models for a better future. You just assumed she is a daughter of a thug or what? I and her mum make way more money separately than your little business, but you will soon be out of business if you are not careful. I would like to warn black parents to stay away from this nonsense. We should ONLY SUPPORT OUR OWN PEOPLE. You are not a true representation of an American and the opportunities immigrants get when we come here to have a good life. It’s sad for you to let my child feel that way. Paying back the entire tuition doesn’t change anything. You are just outright evil and you will definitely get your karma in return."

Misako Aoki and the other faculty members are attentive, patient, and kind instructors who never fail to give each student specialized attention in class. Misako Ballet Studio is a great, nurturing environment for people of all ages and skill levels, so I absolutely recommend the studio to everyone."
