"Excellent Italian food not far from historic Williamsburg. Save some money and enjoy better food just down the road. Yes, it’s in a strip mall… do not let this sway you. The food and atmosphere are excellent and you quickly forget that you aren’t in a fine family Italian restaurant. We enjoyed several dishes including the white pizza, Alfredo and the Chef’s sampler."
"We had dinner at Sal’s Restaurant by Victor and were very pleased. The restaurant is in a shopping center and a bit hard to find but very worth the effort. The food was very good, fresh and served pipping. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive. The restaurant is also very pretty and much larger than it appears. A really good place to eat and very reasonable."
"We as a family make plans to eat at Sal's every time we plan to visit Williamsburg. As always, food, service, and atmosphere was great. The only thing I would recommend Sal to fix is the bathroom. Water splattered all over when washing hands and it is definitely needs to be upgraded. Attached several plates of food we enjoyed this visit. Everything was delicious."
"The food was excellent, everything we ordered were on point and lived up to my high expectations. I'd say the only nitpick was that the bread wasn't warm and the waitress was a bit hard to understand. Even so we still enjoyed the experience and will definitely visit again."
"We were on the road traveling to the beach and needed some Italian for dinner. It was 6:45 on a Friday night and all of the restaurants were full. We found Sal’s and had a modest 15 minute wait. The restaurant is large on the inside with several rooms in series. There is space for large groups and there were groups of 20 or more including a wedding rehearsal dinner behind us. We were surprised to still get excellent and personal service from our waiter. I enjoyed the special Super Grouper with a glass of Montepulciano. It was excellent! And my daughter had rigatoni with sausage in a creamy red sauce. We both enjoyed and we heard nothing but compliments from the many people around us. I recommend the food and the service, kid and group friendly, but not a place for a romantic date night. Enjoy!"
