"The food was great, the server was attentive, manager was visibly working the room, atmosphere was great! We were in town for a Chorus Chorus Chorus Show at the Berlind Theatre, so The Dinky Bar was perfectly positioned across the street!!! The ONLY drawback was it was LOUD when full (it’s an old rail station for crying out loud, give ‘em’ a break!)"
"On my first visit to the Princeton campus I couldn’t pass by Dinkys without grabbing a bite. Great university venue across the street from a major theater. The vibe is intimate and bustling and the fare is quite respectable for a cozy campus bar and diner. Great experience all around."
"Really charming place! Came here for lunch and a cocktail. Had to nudge the waiter a few times to get water/the correct cocktail. The brussel sprouts app was yummy. We then got 2 flatbreads to share and they tasted good, but felt a little pricey for what they were. We added chicken to the fungi flatbread for + $6. The cocktails were nice, and all the staff were very accommodating and kind. Perhaps I’ll come again to try a different entree."
"I wanted to try another place for an afternoon adult beverage. I decided to check out “Dinky” across from the Princeton campus. I remember when this place was used to get the Dinky train at Princeton University to then get to the main train station across the highway. I’ve used it a few times. Well, a new station was built by campus and the old station was made into a bar & restaurant. Though a little pricy for wine, it’s so charming and quaint, and a great way to enjoy the nostalgia while enjoying a drink or meal. I will be back. I only had a couple of beverages, therefore I couldn’t rate the food experience."
"Love the place, everyone out there are so friendly & kind. They have lot of vegetarian options and everything is delicious. Cocktail I tried spicy mango margarita is was amazing… I could not stop myself had next round also same drink! Must try this place highly recommended."
