"Nice little park. Hidden lil gem just outside the city. They have nice trails for biking, hiking or jogging. Plenty of parking available with access to basketball courts, tennis courts and playground."
"One of the best trails to get lost on. Mild deer life, amazing scenery & sounds. Buried ruins and enchanted paths ! Be mindful going after a heavy. The natural paths tend to get very muddy. Exposed roots from trees can trip you up on the natural side of the path if you're not paying attention. Take your time... and enjoy !"
"There is an easy 1.5 mile hiking trail here that is mostly well kept. A great place to take a break from the nearby urban areas."
"Beautiful, clean park! Great for children! Excellent location, close to the city. Lots of beautiful nature to experience without traveling far at all! Great place for picnicking too. Brought my toddler to the playground for a morning playdate with a friend of mine and her children. I hadn't been to Tookany in years, I was pleasantly surprised that the same playground equipment was still there and in excellent shape! The baby swings were nice. They have a swing for disabled children, something for everyone! Very clean! The kids had a great time! They have trial's to walk and the kids had fun being pulled along in wagons (easy to navigate terrain)! Beautiful bridges overlooking the creek to see all the ducks. We enjoyed a very relaxing "nature walk" with the kids in tow. They really enjoyed themselves! Just be SMART with tick's, wear socks that cover your ankles, use bug spray, etc. I made sure to check my child and myself afterwards. Overall I felt safe while walking the trails, lots of nice people. Lovely place!"
