"We basically stumbled on this place passing through Accokeek a few Sundays ago. It was the best random dining experience! Great music, friendly and attentive staff, and DELICIOUS food. We had the wingettes for appetizers, grilled cheese with fries, ribs with cheese fries, whiting with fries, and a shrimp poboy with fries. The portions were huge (we were especially impressed with the fish and shrimps) and everything was well seasoned and clearly fresh. We'll be finding our way there again intentionally soon!"
"BBU customer service is great. I believe the marketing needs to be reviewed if the business is looking forward to longevity in the community. I love patronizing minority businesses but there is no way anyone should be paying over twenty dollars for one meal from a hot bar or eighteen dollars for wings. Let’s not mention the portions are small. Maybe the restaurant should try implementing daily lunch specials, entree of the day, etc…The food is decent but the prices could be adjusted. Wishing BBU the best"
"Hangry pregnant woman ordering for the first time. I ordered Mac and cheese that was dry and too salty to eat, they forgot my cornbread that was supposed to be included in my wings entree, hush puppies weren’t thoroughly cooked, fried cabbage was delicious, wings were pretty good. My family is from North Carolina so I’m used to real soul food. This wasn’t it for me."
