Hip Hop Fish & Chicken

"First and last time I will go to this establishment. I'm a NC native where soul/fried food is a huge staple. So this food was absolutely gross and could never compare. I should've seen the reviews first, and took heed when a comment mentioned eating moldy bread. The chicken/fish were incredibly odd tasting and odd looking. Spoiled/old even and fried hard to cover it up. There was white stuff sitting atop my thigh. I spit everything out after 5 mins. The Mac n cheese was terribly bland, like out of a container-type taste. My pics are exactly how I left it, before I threw it all in the trash. On the one hand the customer service was exceptional, as it should be to get a sale out of you. And the boxing of the food had great presentation --- as it should because they know the food is questionable. Restaurant is clean. There was however, an assumed employee doing mid-prayer/poses on the side of the service counter. I think he could've been a tad more discreet in that fashion. I really don't enjoy wasting almost 20 bucks."

"I ordered the two sandwich and fry combo I was really impressed with their fish sandwich. It was large, crispy, and very tasty. It was served on a potato bun with pickles and sauce. The chicken sandwich came with two big strips of chicken, coleslaw, pickles And served on a potato bun. I thought it was tasty as well, but preferred the fish sandwich. The fries were just ok and a bit too soggy and soft for my liking. My daughter got the mac & cheese and she said it was also just OK. The star of the meal was definitely the fish sandwich . The physical building looked rough, and could use some sprucing up. The tables looked clean enough, and there was plenty of room to eat during peak meal hours. The staff was friendly."

"I am allergic to fish so this order was for my husband. He said the perch was good, but he didn't like the sides. He will try it again and I will update the review. The staff were very pleasant and helpful as this was my first visit. The area was clean and the smells were not overwhelming."

"Delicious! Great beverage selection. The hushpuppies are out of this world! The fish and chips were fresh. Love the bread and the homemade coleslaw. I didn't even use any sauce on the fish. The breader was perfectly seasoned and crispy! Can't wait to go back!"

"My first and only experience with this franchise. Ordered their Chicken Sandwich took one bite set it down and noticed the mold growing on the bottom of it. I immediately threw it and all the other items I purchased with it. Further, the restaurant was hotter and muggier inside than out."
