"This golf course used to be my “home away from home.” It has a fantastic and challenging 18-hole layout, grass driving range, chipping and putting greens, deep practice sand traps, and a decent clubhouse with a good view toward the course from the top of the hill. I played on their summer leagues for many years. This all changed in 2021 when management switched over to KemperSports. They are completely unprofessional and disorganized when it comes to league play. Little to no transparency on prize money, rules, and standings with a substantial ~$140 entry fee. We were paying $50 each to walk 9 holes. It was unclear where the money was going, and whether there were flag prizes and which teams/individuals (if any) placed each week. Years before there was a weekly cash payout for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place including flag prizes but no longer. Tee times for league play were also inconsistent, and the clubhouse move up tee times when showing up, unable to take time to warm up. The experience was so unpleasant I ended up quitting half-way into the league despite being in first place. Management places zero value on customer service and would not honor certificates for free rounds. I showed up to play golf on a Wednesday late morning after booking online and there was a mix-up where a pre-Thanksgiving 2023 open tournament was taking place. However, they would not accept my certificate, even to an extent of offering to pay and make up any difference between the green fees and tournament fees. I called the manager and emailed twice to complain since my certificate was close to expiring. I never received a call back to sort it out and my certificate was left to expire. Bottom line is that KemperSports doesn’t care about you. They value bottom dollar over customer needs and respect."

"Very fun and challenging course with a lot of interesting holes that make you think. Course was in great condition - right up there with the other top public courses in the area. No drivers allowed on the range is a little annoying but it’s not the end of the world."

"Got 1 star for being a nice course. But that’s about all it is, and I want to add that it’s on the same level of course like Falls Road and Little Bennet, but Blue Mash charges $105 instead of $75 for the same tee time. First time playing here today, and the course was so backed up that it took 5 and a half hours to finish. Called the shop twice about pace, nothing happened. Normally, I wouldn’t care much, but I paid $105 dollars for this tee time. Don’t think I will be returning, will just save my money and time at other public courses."

"Course in great shape. Very interesting layout. Most of staff friendly and professional. One big negative was a very rude and smart mouth starter. I would expect a person with better people skillls in this position since it was the first employee we met upon arrival at club house."

"Comfortably the best condition public course in the DMV. A joy to play with the fall colors in the backdrop on a beautiful Sunday for golf. Pros - Greens are fantastic, they’ll hold a ball and run fast and true - The layout is enjoyable for folks who don’t boom it off the tee, lots of short par 4s to make you think but there are some challenging holes too - 11 is a tough par 3 - The price point of $79 for a twilight round is great value for the quality of this track. Appreciate the electric carts w/GPS too. Cons - Pace of play was slow, took 4h40m & we finished in darkness. Didn’t see a marshal all day; would recommend they do a better job at tee time spacing or have a proactive marshal working weekends. Overall this is easily one of the best courses in the area, Worthington probably more challenging for a low single digit player but you’d have some fun here even if you are a low handicapper."
