About the Business

Pepperjacks Subs

Pepperjacks Subs is a cozy eatery located at 10919 Scaggsville Road in Laurel, Maryland. Our second location can be found at 10150 Junction Drive in Annapolis Junction. We are proud to serve the neighborhoods of Maple Lawn, Cherry Tree Farm, and Reservoir Estates, as well as nearby businesses such as Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, Northrop Grumman, and Verizon Wireless. Our convenient locations make it easy for locals and commuters alike to stop by for a delicious meal on the go.

Our restaurant is situated just a block away from the Savage MARC station, making it a convenient stop for those traveling by train. The history of Scaggsville Road dates back to the 18th century, and our establishment, originally an Amoco filling station built in 1932, has been a beloved part of the community for over 75 years. Owners Andrew and Lauren Granzow transformed the station into a charming sub shop and ice cream parlor, where families can enjoy classic country-style subs, sundaes, shakes, and boardwalk fries in a peaceful, rural setting.

Whether you're craving a hearty sandwich or a sweet treat, Pepperjacks Subs has something for everyone. Come visit us for a taste of good company and great food in Laurel or Annapolis Junction.

"Very reliable neighborhood sandwich shop. Always fast and friendly. Favorites are the cold cut with everything and the salad subs (chicken salad, tuna melt) - not drowning in mayo like at many places. Decided to try something different last time and the reuben did not disappoint; all components delicious and in perfect proportion to each other."

"Haven’t been here in a few years since I moved. I was back in town so I ordered some subs online. Went to go pick them up, arrived early. Not sure why the staff felt the need to be sassy about me arriving early… there was no one there. Could’ve just kept it simple and said the food was still being prepared. Haha. Oh well."

"I always see signs for this place but never have stumbled upon one. Finally, I did. I had full intentions of going next door for a rockfish sandwich. However, come to find out they don't serve food until 4pm. Odd, considering its location. Decided to grab the muffuletta toasted. Juicy. Full of flavor. It was just absolutely tasty! A must try."

"Went here for the first time today to get a sub. It's a cute restaurant with a nice country vibe, and the employees are really friendly. Fast service too. Love it! Unfortunately the ingredients of the food seemed pretty low quality for the price, even in today's economy. The southwest sauce almost saved it for me, but they actually somehow forgot the bacon in my chicken + bacon sub... I wish I could give a higher review, this place really has character! I hate to say it but any of the sub chains are gonna be much higher value, especially if you're planning on taking it to go."

"Place seems to be pretty popular, 2 stars for the milkshake alone. Asked for a cheeseburger sub (what kind of sub stop doesn’t sell cheesesteak!?!) with lettuce tomato and ketchup. Got a cheeseburger sub with lettuce tomato ketchup mustard onions and pickles. Asked to correct the order and was told it’s too late the food is already out so I just lost $20 on food I literally can’t even eat. Looks disgusting on top of that like the meat was just yanked out of the freezer and thrown right on the griddle. They also advertise boardwalk fries but you can tell they are store bought and taste nothing like boardwalk fries. Was scared to post the review when I remember they have a sign right up front that says there is a $5.00 charge for whining. Make food in poor taste then charge people to complain about it wow that should have been a red flag the moment I walked through the door. Good place for overpriced milkshakes tho"
