""It's just not pleasant." First off, Jacob is awesome. Quick to the table. Follows up. Makes sure drinks are full. Extremely pleasant. Sadly he is serving us Matchbox's food. Appetizers got a solid "it's ok". But the entrees were not enjoyed at all. At a table of 6, no one finished their food. And 3 politely "pushed it away." Maybe the pizza is better... But the fish and chips should be skipped. The pasta was less than 1/2 eaten. And only one of 2 chicken sandwiches was actually eaten. Definitely would not come back."
"Great service! The food was flavorful and scrumptious. I wanted something light and healthy, and ordered the scallops meal which was a perfect blend of simplicity, yet delivered a powerful decadent punch. It was like eating dessert without the guilt."
"Love the food here but for the prices and location, you’d expect better service. Caring at all, would be a step up. Last night, they had the US Open on and the bartender was more caught up in that than his customers. We asked to have 2 menu’s and got attitude because we already had 1 and I guess the new Matchbox way is we have to share. We were greeted while he was washing dishes and briefly looks up “ready when you are”. How is this acceptable? I just don’t get it. I hate leaving bad reviews, but at the same time I refuse to continue to accept the piss poor service with inflated prices we’ve been experiencing since the pandemic. I won’t be back and I’ll be recommending we use other pizza places when our corporate offices do catering. Lost a customer. Care. Please."
"It took an hour to be seated on a Saturday night, but our waiter was great and attentive when seated and the food was great. My kids raved about the pizza and the succulent shrimp from my shrimp grits. I have to say, this was the best grits I ever had... and I don't usually order grits."
"My first time here and already giving this restaurant 5 stars for excellent service from the start. Great food too. Clean fork and knives like the ones you use at home wrapped in a clothe napkin. Can you actually see yourselves washing that every day. You are doing a great service. Bathrooms are also very clean. Waiter was very attentive coming over to see how we where doing all the time. Keep up the good work."
