"This local favorite is known for its good food and good prices. The menu offers a variety of tasty options for both kids and adults. On my recent visit, I enjoyed the crab cake - it was cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Prices are reasonable for the quality of food. Service has always been good when I've dined here. Our server was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. We didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks to be refilled. One concern I have is the dress code for staff seems inappropriate for a family restaurant. On this visit, several employees were wearing clothing that showed a lot of skin and was rather tight fitting. While the food is great, the dress of most of the staff detracted from the overall family-friendly atmosphere. Given its popularity with families, I think more modest attire would be a better fit. Overall, the food and prices make Dock of the Bay a place a go-to for many in the community. But until the staff dress code is adjusted, I'd recommend it only for older children and adults. With some changes to ensure all feel comfortable, it could truly be a favorite for everyone. I was particularly embarrassed the last time I took my mother there, she didn’t want to go back."
"Crab soup was delicious. The crab didn't just dance through this bowl, it stayed and produced a mouth savery flavor that exploded with each bite. Rock fish bites may be an appetizer here, but I tell you, they were just as mouth watering as any entree they serve."
"Good food. Great staff (always very nice and helpful). Nice atmosphere, with good views of the water. They have a monthly specials menu that always has a couple of fresh and creative options. There are sometimes inconsistencies from the kitchen, but not enough to cause me to not want to return. In the summer, the flies outside can be a but overwhelming."
"Amazing food and great ambiance - we sat out on the dock. Had the half and half soup (off menu, highly recommend, it's a mix of the MD crab and the crab chowder), oysters (the homemade cocktail sauce was full of horseradish which we loved), the nut and berry salad which was absolutely delicious, and the "sunset on the bay" - a mix of seafood over vegetables. Our only complaint is that we like our vegetables a little bit more crispy, and these were slightly overcooked. However that was not enough to detract from the five stars."
