"Food was ok. We had the crab dip, stew, crab chowder, burgers, shrimp, pulled pork grilled cheese (was very dry) and desserts. Nothing really stood out as amazing and server wasn't very attentive. Overall it was just ok."

"Super cozy spot near beautiful loch raven reservoir. Enclosed deck, cozy fireplace, wooden bar. The vibes are perfect. We got the crab fries to start, which surprisingly had this cilantro aioli on it, unexpected but tasted good. My side salad was LOADED with goodness- chickpeas corn bacon tomatoes, you name it. I could have eaten it for just my meal. My salmon blt was good- salmon was a little dry but I still loved the sandwich. Excited to come back!"

"Should have gotten the crab cakes. Went there for dinner with my wife. The waiter, Dennis was fabulous, the food was mediocre. The drink menu was incorrect, so my heavy seas loose cannon was a tropic seas. Not a good beer, but Dennis fix the error quickly. We ordered wings to start, the wings were good, but at $18 for a lb I was hoping for more blue cheese and wings. The main course: my wife orders the crab cakes. The dish came with 2 good size crab cakes, asparagus, and red potatoes. I tried her crab cakes, they were good. Very little filler, with good lump crab meat. She enjoyed her meal. I ordered the filet mignon. I asked for medium and it came out well done. Probably should have ordered it rare. My dish came with summer squash and red potatoes. The summer squash was the best part of my meal. The steak was dry and in seasoned and my potatoes were overcooked. It has been a while since I have been at Mcfauls, I like to come for the outdoor seating in nice days. The location of the restaurant is right near loch raven reservoir. It offers a nice setting for drinks and food. While my meal this time was not the best, I would be willing to come again and try something different. There happy hour prices are enticing. Overall, if you come, avoid the steak, just get the crab cakes."

"Came here for dinner. Parking is limited, so valet is pretty much a must at during the dinner rush. We made a reservation, which I recommend for a Friday night, as the reservations were almost fully booked when we called. Our server was great, very attentive, friendly, and patient. The food arrived quickly despite it being busy. The food was good. Not anything remarkable or memorable, just good. The portion sizes were small. The price tag didn't match the product IMO. For example $14 for 5 regular sized fried shrimp, seems steep, despite them being good. And a $9 mocktail!? Just why? I know inflation has gone up, but neither the quality nor quantity didn't match the price for us. I wouldn't recommend."
