"In my experience Dr Stephen Price is highly qualified and provides the very best dental services, from basic procedures to invisalign. His dental practice recently celebrated the 50th anniversary of his distinguished career in dentistry. I cannot say that same thing about his billing department, however. At the beginning of my invisalign treatment I was assured that they will help me get partial reimbursements for ortho treatment. Initially things went ok. A claim was submitted in Nov 2022, and the insurance company at the time credited their account the 1st week of January 2023. It took 3 months of back-and-forth (and a bounced check) to eventually receive the payment that was erroneously sent to the dental office instead of me. Meanwhile my insurance carriers changed on Jan 1, 2023. I was entitled to continue to receive reimbursements for in-progress treatment from the new insurance carriers. A claim was submitted by the billing department for work done in 2023 but the claim was defective in many ways and immediately denied by insurance (and rightly so). For instance, the date of service was written as Nov XX 2022, before the new insurance policies took effect. Clearly this was grounds for denial. I communicated to the billing department a detailed list of info items the insurance carrier wanted to receive but they never supplied them the requested details. Subsequently I asked the billing department a couple more times to make progress with billing but they vouchsafed no reply. This dereliction of duty is unacceptable and I'm about to file a complaint with the Virginia Board of Dentistry. Last but not least their hygienist who goes by the initials J.C. probed my tooth pockets and found multiple 5s and one 6 (on 2 separate occasions), and recommended root planing and scaling. I went to a reputable perio practice who do nothing but perio treatments, for a 2nd opinion and they found just 2 pockets of size 4, all the others were less than 4. Their recommendation was merely a regular cleaning. So beware of false diagnoses by this J.C. person and unnecessary treatments."

"I started to feel terrible pain in my tooth over the weekend. First thing Monday morning I called my husband's dentist to see if they could fit me in and they weren't taking emergency new patients at this time. Understandably so as we're in the middle of a pandemic and things are just crazy right now. They referred me to Dr. Price. I called them and they were able to fit me in right away. Holly (I believe that's her name) was so sweet and understood I was hurting. When I got to the office, I had to fill out some paperwork (some about my contact with COVID and how I'm feeling) and they took my temperature. It was a short wait before I was called back and had xrays taken. Dr. Price explained I have an infection in a tooth with a hole in it and that I'd need a root canal. He gave me some antibiotics to clear up the infection and we scheduled a root canal for that same week! Went in for the root canal and I have to tell you, this was the best experience I've had getting dental work. He was quick and efficient and getting the roots cleaned out and whatever else the procedure entails. He was gentle in my mouth and explained what he was doing as he was doing it. I'm virtually pain-free today (the day after the root canal) and that's a first for me. He showed me the before and after xrays so I could see the work he'd done. He didn't try to sell me any other services or products. He just took care of business and got my tooth fixed right up. I cannot recommend Dr. Price and his staff enough. He presents as a caring, experienced dentist and a good guy. The staff are all friendly and courteous. My only negative comment is I wish they'd discuss pricing with you prior to the procedure being performed. I had to sign a consent form to have the treatment and where they had a space for the price, it was blank. I absolutely should have asked what the prices were, but it also didn't matter because I was going to pay for it regardless. But I still think they should discuss pricing with their patients so they have some idea what to expect. So if you are concerned about cost, make sure to ask."

"Dr. Price is amazing. I have a very complex case other doctors said couldn’t be solved without regular braces. But, Dr. Price has made tremendous progress with my teeth and for that I am thankful. Treatment is 2/3’s done. Can’t wait until to see the finished product."

"Went to Dr. Price ago for the first time for just a routine cleaning and exam. I had orthodontics done when I was a kid. I have a little bit of crowding on my bottom teeth. All this doctor wanted to do was Invisalign. I told him I was not really interested in that and all he could talk about was how many people he has done Invisalign on and Nobody could beat his prices since he had done so many. I felt like I was at a car dealership. This guy definitely has a huge ego. And to be honest with you after talking with him and looking at him I have no idea why. A friend of mine had recommended him and I still don't understand that one. I am new to the Northern Virginia area and maybe this is how some dentists are down here. I hope to find A dentist that will actually listen to me and not enjoy hearing himself talk as much as this doctor did. Stay away"
