KIDS FIRST Swim School - Jenkintown 620 Old York Road, Jenkintown, PA 19046

"My son started swim classes here last summer. He enjoyed it and I liked the convenience. I didn’t make anything else an issue mainly because of that. We decide to sign our son up this winter for level 2 so he can be ready for summer. While signing him up in October/November I spoke to a wonderful warm person. She gave all the information and I was happy at the end of the transaction. I did ask her if they will call with reminders etc. This morning I received a phone call from a male representative informing us that the class today will be cancelled because they were experiencing some type of issue (can’t recall what the exact issue was). I said omg did the class start already, he said yes this is the second lesson. I said omgoodness I forgot the date and no one reminded me. He was super caring and polite. I went on to say, don’t let me stop you go ahead and continue calling parents to inform them of the cancellation. I will call back and talk to someone else. It was 9:12 a.m on 1/13/24. I called back a female answered the phone. I calmly explained the situation. I said awww man I was hoping you guys would remind me. Before I could go out she RUDELY stopped me in my tracks and said I don’t mean to sound rude but that’s your responsibility ( now while I am aware it is my responsibility) she was very rude and disrespectful in tone. I continue to say excuse me about 3 times to try and get more of what happened in. She kept talking over me LOUD and RUDE. So I said HELLO she finally stopped yelling as in I got her attention. I said I have several business ain’t no way I will EVER be so unprofessional to my customers. She said I am doing something else I don’t have time for this and HUNG UP IN MY FACE!!!! I tried calling back because now I need to either get a refund or find out the time of the classes for the next session. She would not answer my call until I blocked my number. She answered the block call. I said can I speak with a Manager. She said I am the manager! I said what’s your name she refused to give her name and HUNG up AGAIN. At this point I am furious. One, it’s too early for you to be in such a nasty mood. Two, if this is your attitude can I even TRUST this institution with my child while teaching him to swim????? Totally unacceptable and uncalled for! I am awaiting a real professional to give me a call on this issue. I will update accordingly."

"Great place to learn swimming. The kids have a lot of fun and love their instructor. Updated: The kids love it here just one thing I realized after coming few times now. The place is dirty. Look like floor never been wash or sweep."

"I am disappointed with the kids' swimming school. The instructors lacked structure. The facilities were poorly maintained, and the overall organization seemed chaotic. My child didn't make much progress because they allowed him to play during the session and then failed him on something they didn’t teach. The communication from the staff is inadequate. I would not recommend this school to others."

"My son has improved, but by the end of his third time in level one they didn’t pass him because of his kicking. I would have expected the instructor to notice this before and work him a little harder in this area, but no. Watching the instructor as well, by the time the review came she seemed to be testing them on things they were learning right that minute. I only saw them learn to float once before the review. I understand kids learn at different rates, but it was ridiculous what they hold a kid back on and obviously they take too many kids on at once. My son was bored during this session because he was so used to hopping around, putting his head under etc. We won’t be back"

"The manager Patrick really knows the children and is attentive to their needs and the request of the parents. My child started at this swim school as a level 2 and is presently a level 6 (3 years in the making) and progressing. I like that the class sizes are small. That gives the instructor the ability to look after all the children in the class, as well as, work on skills that an individual child needs to improve on. The pool stays at a toasty 84°. They have observation rooms. And Family Swim is really nice. This location has added a childrens coloring table which comes in handy if you are early for your class and your child needs something to do. The children also enjoy knowing that when class is over they get to have a sticker. So many positives for this swim school. The cost is reasonable compared to other swimming facilities."
