Mountain Playhouse

Mountain Playhouse is a renowned art gallery located at 7690 Somerset Pike in Jennerstown, Pennsylvania, United States. This institution has been a Pennsylvania treasure for over 80 years, showcasing live, professional theater productions. The phenomenon of Summer Stock theatre is beautifully chronicled in the 100-page book, "Eighty Years at the Mountain Playhouse: Summer Stock Lives!", which is now available for purchase online. Created by students at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, this book is illustrated with 160 images and published by the Somerset Daily American.

Groups of 10 or more can enjoy discounted rates starting at $31 per person, making it a perfect outing for family, friends, co-workers, or clients. The institution relies on the support of the community, especially after a two-year covid-intermission. Donations to the Annual Campaign are tax-deductible and play a vital role in keeping the Mountain Playhouse running. To learn more or donate, please contact Karen at 814-629-9220 x105. "Nice authentic playhouse with restaurant. Outdoor area near a creek is beautiful. All seats had a good view of the play. The bathrooms were clean. Did a great job accommodating a large group."

"This is the premier live performance playhouse in the Laurel Highlands. I have attended many plays here over the years and I've never been disappointed. The plays and casting are always outstanding and the rustic and intimate theater setting provides a comfortable view and clear audible experience for the attendees. The excellent Green Gables Restaurant is adjacent to the playhouse and hotel rooms are available for those interested in a full evening of enjoyment in a beautifully maintained rustic facility environment and bucolic landscape."
