"I would give this place less than one star if possible. My daughter periodically had her prescriptions filled here, but usually stuck to Rite Aid because it had a drive-thru and she had an 18month old. She had recently been in a car accident, and when Rite Aid did not have one of the prescriptions she had been put on by her doctor, (for the duration of her recovery, and while going through countless back and neck injections to help alleviate pressure around her spine) in stock and they said it would be a few days until it came in, she chose to go here, where she had been before, of course. What a nightmare. After being told that they had the medication and it would be 10-15 minutes to be filled, my daughter went back and was then met by a pharmacist who told her that they had it and it wasn't covered by her insurance. Well, that was fine, my daughter already knew that, and then she told them that. She said she usually went to Rite Aid and was aware the prescription wasn't covered by her insurance because they were still investigating the cause of the damage to her neck. So she said she'd go ahead and pay for it, like she'd done at Rite Aid, until it was sorted out. They looked her right in the face and said, "I'm sorry, we don't have it." She was confused and asked why did they first say they had it and now say they don't? The answer she was given was that they had it, but refused to fill it. When she dare ask why, she was ushered out the door by the so-called owner claiming that because she was "in pain management" -- actually, no, the doctor who wrote her prescription just worked for a spine AND pain management office -- she should stick with Rite Aid. What!? She couldn't purchase a medication written for her, by her doctor, just because the insurance was refusing to pay for it until it was determined an accident. After this ridiculous encounter with a poorly run business, my daughter called me crying. I understand that their is an epidemic in our country, but discrimination comes in all different packages. I would urge anyone who has ever battled discrimination of any kind to avoid this poorly managed pharmacy at all costs. After all of the trauma my daughter has been through, she didn't need, or deserve, this type of treatment. They are pharmacists, not police. Absolutely unacceptable treatment of an average woman going through the path of recovering from being hit by a drunk driver. Rude, discriminatory, ignorant, arrogant: just a few words they should use in the description of their store, their owner and their judgmental "head pharmacist.""
