"I made an appointment back in April because I was experiencing a lot of pain in my jaw for about a week. The dentist took x-rays, said it looks like a canker sore, told me to take Tylenol for the pain and "hopefully it's temporary." They also made an appointment to get a filling done 2 weeks later. A few days after the 1st appointment, I called to make an emergency appointment because the pain was so bad, I had to leave work in tears. The next morning they took more x-rays, again saw nothing, and told me to keep taking Tylenol and, if the pain was still there when I come back for a filling A WEEK LATER, then they'll give my antibiotics. At this point, I've been in pain for 2 weeks and they wanted me to wait another week before helping me. 2 days later, I woke up with my face swollen and went to the ER where they told me it was (obviously) infected gave me antibiotics. This past weekend (5 months later), the pain comes back and after going to a different dentist and having them do more than take x-rays, I was told I needed a root canal. If I was told this back in April, I could've saved $200 from an ER visit and 2 weeks of excruciating pain. I felt like they either didn't care or didn't take my pain seriously, even though I told them multiple times that I was in tears, I couldn't sleep and medicine wasn't helping at all."
