SpringHill Suites by Marriott Morgantown 1910 Hunters Way, Morgantown, WV 26505

"After reading previous recent reviews, we were somewhat hesitant to stop here, but after the long day traveling, I was like "I'll deal with it!" and told my husband it was time get out of the car. Sure glad we did!! We saw no problems. The lobby was neat and clean, the staff very friendly and the room was extremely comfortable. It had an area that was separated from the bed area and had a couch, desk, sink, fridge, and microwave and REAL glasses above the "kitchen sink".The bed and pillows were probably the most comfortable we've slept in (and we're old). It looks like we will change our "go to" hotels while traveling to SpringHill Suites. (The price was comparable to others in the area!!)"

"I checked in on 1/23/24 for a two night stay. Right away I could tell that this place was a dump. The hotel website advertised a pool and spa. The website didn’t say that it was closed for remodeling. The hallway floors didn’t have any carpet down just the glue. At 3:30am the next morning I am woken up by a very loud air compressor running right next to my room in the maintenance room. ( I have video of this. ) when I contacted the hotel about it they just apologized and said that it comes on from time to time day and night. The hot breakfast they offer is in fact the equivalent of what you would get from a convenience store ( frozen breakfast sandwich ). Then on the last morning that I was there the hotel offered me a late check out due to my early am experience with the air compressor the previous morning, then at 7am that morning the air compressor goes off again and they decide to start construction on the room right next to mine moving and banging stuff around. And on top of that the housekeeper decided that it was a good time to run the vacuum outside my door ( in the hallway with no carpet ) just totally disrespectful of their guests. I can say this for sure, the Marriott brand has gone way down hill over the last couple of years. This was the second time that I have stayed in a Marriott brand hotel in that town and both times were terrible experiences, the ( Residence Inn & Spring Hill suites ) . I don’t know if all the hotels in Morgantown, West Virginia are dumps or just just the Marriott brand hotels are ? But they charge you Hilton price and the rooms are Days inn quality ! Next I will save myself some money and just check into the motel 6 !!"

"I am currently staying in a room at this hotel. The place is being newly renovated and there is paint splashed in the hallways and elevators. The jacuzzi was broken yet guests were still swimming in it leaving it a cloudy unpleasant color. Our room upon entering was newly remodeled and nice. However our toilet had not been cleaned and poop still remained from the previous guests. We had no toilet paper and no shampoo/conditioner which is a staple for most hotels. When down in the pool, I had to use the restroom and there was also poop everywhere and it was disgusting. When back in my room I got our ice bucket to enjoy a soda in my room and my ice bucket smelled like mildew. When booking this hotel the website claimed they had a buffet breakfast, imagine my shock when breakfast was nothing more than oatmeal and the typical continental breakfast you see at any average hotel. I would not recommend this hotel. Guests at my house do not have to request toilet paper. Therefore guests who are paying to stay at a supposed luxury hotel should not have to beg for toilet paper or a poop free environment. We are guests aren’t we?!"

"Online the rooms were priced at $119. Put a hold of $144 on my card. When I arrived at the hotel to check in they charged my card $177!? I would've chose another hotel if I'd known! When going to the pool someone from the service desk had to come and unlock the door for us to go in. The bottom of the pool looks like it's peeling. When we were ready to get the babies and go, we had to call service desk to come and unlock the door once again. The only room complaint is the heating system, we had to keep turning it off or it would get too hot in the room. The window unit had no temperature control. The breakfast was over cooked and not a whole lot to choose from and the kitchen staff was quite rude to customers."

"I booked this hotel for the Pitt game last minute as it was the only reasonably priced hotel left and was slightly nervous based on reviews. However, I found the staff to be incredibly friendly, checked me in over the phone, and answered all my questions. The room was very clearly newly renovated and was very nice. Shower water pressure wasn’t great but perfectly fine for one night. I would absolutely stay here again!"
