Stracci Pizza

"So good! The pizza of the week - whatever it is - get it! The first courses, the salads... the desserts... all delicious. Chef really knows how to combine flavors. And great people too."

"I was shocked when I saw the rating but after going several times I completely understand it. Stracci is one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in a while, fresh delicious food, great ambience, and wonderful service. One warning before I get into a bit more detail is that the wait can get pretty long and they don’t take reservations for under 5 people so plan accordingly the first time we went, we waited over an hour but we were warned before we got in line and we could check out place in line which allowed us to take a walk around Del Ray which is a wonderful area for a stroll. But onto the actual review of the restaurant for what matters the food and service. The food was amazing the Focaccia was warm and delicious and flavorful especially with the dip, the pizza was so fresh and delicious and I can’t sing high enough praises for most of the appetizers and seasonal drinks and food. The one appetizer I was not a fan of was the meatballs but my boyfriend loved them, regardless they were very filling so be warned as we both took home some pizza and it’s never as good reheated. I liked all of the deserts but it’s hard to go wrong with the tiramisu and affogato. The ambiance and service also exceed expectations with the servers being quick and efficient as well as friendly(especially Jason)and helpful/knowledgeable if you have any questions on the menu. The restaurant itself has such a great atmosphere with cute lights and a cozy feel perfect for a night out. Overall 5/5 definitely will be back"

"Definitely worth the hype and the wait. The pizza is so good I’ve waited an hour in the rain to get a table. After having tried all of the pizza options I can say you cannot go wrong. Cannot recommend enough."

"Great pizza place. I was impressed with the crunch, flavor, and dynamic salty sweet of the Brooklyner pizza. Unfortunately, on this day, it took over an hour to get the pie. I think they had forgotten about it until our table reminded them. It appears that all of the cooking happens outside in a food truck and then it's brought into the restaurant. The meatballs were very flavorful, but on the cooler side, when they arrived. Lastly, the drinks are in smaller coupes a-la 1950."

"Came here with high expectations from a recommendation, and summarily, it exceeded them easily! Everything we ordered - caponata, fig & gorgonzola salad, meatballs, The Stracci with sausage, and The Stracci Blanca with prosciutto - tasted fresh, very balanced, and very flavorful. Food came out surprisingly fast considering the place was packed and all the food is made from the remnant food truck in the back (our wait time was an hour and 45 mins for 4 people on a Friday evening). Servers were extremely friendly and helpful, and the restaurant is in a very nice location in Old Town. Planning a trip with other friends already!"
