"We’ve been going to Ski & Glee annually for about 6 years now and it never disappoints! Rick takes excellent care of the property inside and out. There is so much to do at the house whether you’re a child or adult. We are already looking forward to next year’s visit!"

"Our 2nd time at “Ski and Glee” because it’s a family favorite. We go to the Lake twice a year, and when asking our kids if we should try a new place, without hesitation, they want to continue their memories here. The property is clean, well maintained, the arcade and indoor pool keep the family entertained (awesome during bad weather), and adults have their sauna and hot tub to enjoy. So many movies to choose from and games to play in the arcade, the owner goes above and beyond to ensure your stay is worthwhile. I’d say, it’s a great bargain to be here for what’s offered. - Dan"

"We had a great time celebrating my wife’s birthday at Ski&Glee. It comfortably accommodated our extended family of 12 - the giant dining table was especially appreciated. The kids (aged 6 to 21) all enjoyed all the amenities offered - arcade, swimming pool, hot-tub. Convenient to skiing at Wisp as well. Looking forward to a return visit soon."

"Our family had a great time staying here for 5 nights in August. As with any vacation there were a few issues/hiccups, but I am going to begin with the positives. The house is HUGE! We had four couples and 5 kids 5yrs and younger. The bedrooms and bathrooms were even better/more spacious than the pictures show. We actually took a full sized crib with us and assembled it no problem in one of the bedrooms. All 5 bedrooms are king master suites and that really makes this property stand out. The game room was a huge hit for all ages, we still talk about how that was so ideal for keeping the kids occupied even when we couldn’t go outside because of rainy weather. The kitchen and dining area was awesome for a big family vacation, stocked with supplies well, and plenty of room to make big meals and set up a buffet. The indoor pool was pretty awesome, we had a lot of fun when we were able to use it (more on that later). The weather was very rainy while we were there so we were super thankful that we had the indoor pool. The mini golf was also a hit with our kids. For the cons… I hate to bring up negatives after a great vacation but I do want to point some things out. Everyone knows about the security cameras when going into this property. It wasn’t hidden, but we didn’t fully realize or think through how it would make us feel. There are cameras outside, in the game room, and in the indoor pool. The indoor pool cameras can definitely still see into the living room/kitchen area because there are large windows and the blinds are locked so you can’t put them down. It’s one of those strange things because we didn’t “have anything to hide” per say, but we have young kids and it just made us feel uncomfortable. We didn’t feel like we were ever truly alone. This was exacerbated by the fact that the owner was clearly watching us live when we arrived to the property -- he emailed and called immediately when he saw that one of us backed the car up to the front door, driving into the grass a bit. We apologized and moved quickly, however it was a bit creepy and the way he communicated with us was a bit rude. So from day one anywhere we knew a camera was at we didn’t feel as carefree and alone as we should have. The mini golf and many other things in the house and on the property are in need of maintenance. Things are just getting a bit run down from what the pictures on the listing show. Some of the mini golf was hazardous as there were screws sticking out, and many had moss growing all over it. Our little kids still enjoyed it but it definitely wasn’t what was sold to us. We were unable to use the indoor pool for multiple days and never even got an apology. The first 1-2 days every time we would get in the kids would cry and scream that the water was burning their skin and eyes. We ended up reaching out to the owner that there’s no way this water is balanced. He sent someone out right away, the pool guy said it was way off and had to shock it. Then we couldn’t get in the pool for 15 hours after that so another whole day gone. One last thing I will point out is that the bath towels were all mildewy. Meaning as soon as they get wet they have a sour smell. The washer that’s in the house was full of mold/mildew so I’m assuming that’s where that came from. Again I want to reiterate that we had an awesome vacation and may even go back one day. It is a great house for a big family, and we loved still having a bit of privacy with the master suites. I hope the owner takes note of the concerns I have listed and will take action to correct them."

"We had an outstanding time staying at Ski & glee 8/23-8/30. There were 10 of us (including 4 kids) and I can’t say enough good things both about the house and how responsive Rick was. There are so many things to do at the house (indoor pool, mini golf, arcade and so on) and even when we had rain in the forecast it didn’t really matter. Additionally, the home has a great location- very close to Deep Creek Lake, wisp Resort and everything else Deep Creek Lake has to offer. We look forward to returning in the future."
