"My nephew chose this shop because it was local and he could walk to work while his car was repaired. He learned the hard way about choosing a mechanic for convenience instead of skill. He brought the car in because he struck a curb in the rain and damaged the wheel. The shop first sold him a replacement wheel for $500. When that didn't fix it, they told him it would need a control arm and strut for $1000. That also did not fix the damage. The service writer said that they couldn't align the car so he would need to take it to a collision shop because they don't have the equipment to do frame work. When I took my nephew to pick up his car the wheel was OBVIOUSLY not centered in the wheel well. I asked why they would install a new control arm on an obviously bent frame and was informed that their method was to work "from the outside in, like any surgeon". I don't know any surgeon that would fix skin and muscle before doing an X-ray to make sure the bones were undamaged first and this was obvious damage. This should have been discovered by eye during ANY inspection of the vehicle prior to the work being done. The "we just keep fixing things until the car works" explanation seemed really bizarre so we waited a few days to speak to the owner. He doubled down on the "outside in" method and consequently told us that after a reinspection the damage was the subframe not the frame and now they could indeed fix it... for another $1200. I don't know if this is their usual way to do business but needless to say we decided to cut our losses and will never be back."
"Meneike was able to fit us into the next day schedule on very short notice for new tires (old tires sidewalls were bulging) before a long cross country trip! Service was excellent and quick and we were on our way without worrying about tires failing! Meineke was the only place that was willing to get us in and taken care of!"
"Excellent service. Had an issue with my oil drip pan that would have cost $500+ to replace, but they figured out a way to repair w/out replacing and it only cost around $30. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good, honest mechanic."
