"The car is extremely detailed as it was once functional. It’s right around the Carnegie Kids Museum and does not disappoint. Walking around it and guessing which part of the car each piece is a fun activity to complete with children, but it can be fun for the whole family as well."
"Here's something you won't see every day - a big ball of car. Sure there are cars shaped like balls and there are cars that have balls on them but this is an artwork that used to be a car and is now a big round sphere. Titled reCARstruction, the orb used to be a 1983 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. You'll know that because the original badging is still here and some of the parts are clearly "Jeep." The artist completely disassembled the car and then bent and twisted the pieces to shape them into this non-foot diameter ball. There are a couple of spots where you can look inside the hollow space and see the engine pieces, transmission pieces and all the usual bits that make up a car. Created by artist Keny Marshal in 2009, it is outside the Pittsburgh Children's Museum. While the museum is not free, access to this artwork on the sidewalk IS free. It's absolutely a unique piece."
