"Was originally referred to VT Gastro for a procedure due to a condition that was causing me a lot of discomfort and affecting my daily routine/life. The medical team was FANTASTIC! This staff was on the medical side of this business and in a separate facility. Following the procedure, I had several questions, some of which I did not ask following the procedure due to just coming off anesthesia. So, I had many questions that I asked through my patient portal, including issues with my medication. The doctor who performed my procedure was pretty good at addressing my questions although I’m not sure he was always the one answering my questions. Fast forward to today, three weeks following procedure, I left a message for his nurse. She called me back and was extremely rude, and stated , “refer your questions to your PCP moving forward”, and refused to answer my question. She told me to make an appointment for a consultation with the doctor who performed my procedure which, incidentally, I already had. That being said, my appointment is scheduled for the end of April! No follow up, sooner, post procedure! It has to be a consultation . If there had been a follow up, I could have addressed some of my questions. It’s very disappointing when you are struggling with a health issue, and you are looking for guidance and empathy, you are treated in such a way. If I could rate the medical team, it would be five stars!"

"The staff in the office will provide you with the worst service you will ever receive in your life with nothing but excuses. I'm not sure why anyone would let the team there be the face of your business? Completely incompetent. After weeks of rude and poor communication I drove in to get my appointment. This would be unnecessary with any other office I have ever worked with. In person they were more rude and incompetent, (not sure that was even possible) as they were via all electronic communications. On a good note the staff on the medical side were unbelievably awesome. No issues, they were very, very good. It's almost like 2 separate companies? The doctors need to tidy up that side of their business."

"I have been very pleased with Dr. Schwartz’s caring and compassion ways. It is rather embarrassing to meet a Dr. for a few minutes and have to explain your symptoms that are very personal. He never made me feel uncomfortable, and listened to my concerns. I have seen him once in person, and 2 times through a zoom meeting, and I was very happy with the results. I didn’t have to travel and lose time at work. I would also like to compliment his office ladies, they are extremely accommodating and very friendly. I would highly recommend Dr. David Schwartz at VT Gastroenterology."

"Excellent customer service, kind and compassionate care, and (thankfully) humor. So happy with Dr. Schwartz and his staff, and the new facility (Green Mountain Surgery Center). A colonoscopy is not a pleasurable experience, but having one with these folks really helps to make it more tolerable! And the fact that they are independent from UVMMC also makes this customer very happy. Highly recommended."
