"A somewhat hidden gem. I found this campground online and emailed to make a reservation, for a tent site it was the most affordable place we stayed on our whole trip. The location is incredible and the views are stunning. The Campbells were all incredibly nice and welcoming, and if you forget to bring anything they have a very nice little store at the campground. I absolutely can't wait until I get a chance to go back!"
"One of, if not only, the best camp grounds I have had the pleasure staying at. When we come up to Vermont/Lake Champlain a few times a year for some much needed time away from our busy lives we stay at Campbell's Bay Campground as much as we can. Below I will provide a simplified review: The cabins: Vary in size/price depending on need, they are well maintained and serve their purpose for providing shelter and warmth when needed. They have multiple bedrooms, a bathroom, and a well stocked kitchen so you need not worry about bringing your own plates and flatware. Also, now have wifi, which is great if you need to stay connected as the cellphone service in the area really only works if you go 20 meters into a field and hold onto a tree to get better reception. The bedrooms are simple and functional, they come with a spare pillow/blanket but guests are warned to bring their own bedding. (this is standard practice with most places with a similar business model) The bathrooms are functional and clean, cold water is cold, hot water is hot. Guests should bring their own towels. Each cabin faces the lake and have individual fire pits and shared boat docks at the shore of the lake. The water is shallow so the docks are rolled out as far as possible to allow boats with deeper hulls to tie up - if the water levels are particularly low then guests may use the main dock on the east side of the site. The grounds: Very large grounds with ample space to take walks, enjoy the fresh air and generally mill around. There is a newly built camp store which provides the most important necessities - beer, ice, tackle and food. They also sell neat merchandise such as stickers, shirts, hats etc that support the business. The staff: Very fine people, always ready to help a guest on matters both big or small. They are friendly, can chat about anything, and provide useful advise on the area. The lake: Its big, its wet, its Lake Champlain! Excellent fishing, will always catch something no matter the conditions. Respect the lake, keep it clean, and it will provide for you."
"Great place to spend time with family and friends, Right on the water at Missiqui Bay cabins are clean with wifi, this is more likea camp ground then 5 star resort. The family is 100% on top of making sure you have a great experience. I have been coming here my whole life and it is a great place to relax and enjoy the outdoors and lake Champlain. Highly recommend for a great place to just unwind"
