"My fiance and I had a consultation with Ms. Wells in November 2023 regarding child support and custody of his daughter. Ms. Wells was somewhat helpful (we knew absolutely nothing about the legal system) but we found that she struggled to bring things down to our level of understanding. To her credit, she did not charge us for the consultation. After the consultation, my fiance called multiple times in hopes of retaining her. He left a message on the machine, left a message with her receptionist, and the last time he called, the number didn't work. As of a month later, December 2023, she has not responded to either message. We have secured another lawyer. This obviously has caused us a lot of stress. If Ms. Wells didn't want to take us as clients, she should have had the decency to inform us of that, rather than just 'ghosting' us."
